For anyone interested, I have found a way to run it in windows 10 - Slightly different from @Cj69 method of using a virtual machine 1. Download Winevdm latest version here - https://github.com/otya128/winevdm/releases and unzip the file, 2. Download Visual C++ here - https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/confirmation.aspx?id=52685 although you more than likely have this already if so skip this 3. Unzipped speedway promoter files then copied these into a GDW2002 folder under windows folder so you have this directory - C:\Windows\GDW2002 4. Once you have done the above run > otvdmw.exe from the folder you unzipped in step 1, then you will be prompted to open an exe file which will be the speedway promoter exe in GDW2002 folder. It may look like the mouse pointer is constantly loading but that's fine from what I have seen so far Would this work better for any of you? @Marksman @MassMarauder If there's any issues try leave the speedway promoter folder on desktop then run otvdmw.exe then when the box pops up then open SPE2002.EXE Just done a quick video showing the steps I've mentioned and what it should look like working https://youtu.be/s9LftM8ZsMw

I've tried to look into the file but as far as I know it's in an old file format. Win16 or NE(new experience) exe. I'm sure if anyone has knowledge of that kind of programming/software then the game could be updated more I would think. Could be completely wrong

If for speedway promoter, when on transfer list. Click on your team name before clicking the riders name.

You don't need one for this, myself and others are running it fine as long as you've got the files correct. It doesn't need installing either

I'm currently using virtual machine with windows xp, I'd copied the files into the folder I mentioned and ran the Spe2002.exe

@Marksman Where did you find the info about leagues and changing the date? Wondering whether it possible to reduce the number of teams in a league and add a third league maybe

Copy the files from the speedway promoter to the directory I mentioned previously

So we can start looking at recreating a newer database

Soon as we can find out what most of the data is exactly then updating riders wouldn't be too hard? (I hope)

I opened up the save game file in notepadd++ and was able to mess about with things. 5,0,14,26,1000,3.46,6.92,1.46,6.92,2,0,0,0,0 26 is Age - 1000 is Value - 3.46 is EL avg - 6.92 is PL avg. The rider names are in the in the files aswell Whilst another line of info is "Charlie Gjedde",18,23,4.45,8.89,0,4 - 23 being age - 4.45 EL avg - 8.89 Pl avg - 4 is Danish nationality It's all I've worked out so far

Did the method I mentioned work? Would love to be able to get the riders update but I have no clue about half of the stats in the riders/save file.

Actually I think I just solved our issue. In VM copy the contents of the Speedway Promoter folder to C\WINDOWS\GDW2002 and it seems to work fine for me now. Although no ideas with some of the game itself

Which games FS or Promoter. I done the virtual machine method same as @Cj69 but seems I ran into the same issues where by it was overlapping each screen with the next one which is just a mess when attempting playing

Did you see any better results with win98?
