    I feel I'm almost there now but still having the same problem as SWhitton above?

    The white screen and every subsequent screen overlaps the previous one rendering it unplayable?  Seems like its within touching distance but still agonizingly out of reach!! :(

    task manager and close the program down then try again. 

    kept happening to alot of us

    For some of reason it doesn't like the saves being renamed. you will find the save file names it needs in the names.dat file

    Close the game and reopen it until it loads with the picture behind it, also have a look at the previous pages for more info if needed

    Serious question - I tried saving my current game as a new game with a different name and it crashed.  Tried doing it this a few times and it crashes\d each time. Should I follow the second option of installing the updates ?

    Did you update before starting the save, if not then you'll see double riders 

     

    The game reads the save game names from a file titled names. Try check that and see if it's been updated with the different name. 

    Method 2 imo might be worth a try.

    Spent a bit of time messing about with different numbers and found a few things more. I've not worked out the loan listing. See examples below 

    4th number from the end is to do with transfer list/retired list etc.. 1 = transfer listed 2 = retired listed 4 = unattached listed

    3rd number from the end is loan cost

    Just one tiny gripe though - how Josh Pickering costs less than Scott Nicholls, Ellis Perks or, to a lesser extent, Broc Nicol is beyond me!

    The values can be changed but it depends how Marksman has done it.

    The game will also change them over time and I think it takes a few factors in to account over time

    Did you run the otvdmw.exe then when the box pops up then open SPE2002.EXE if so and that doesn't work try have the speedway promoter folder on desktop and run first exe then speedway promoter
