  1. Great middle finger to the camera from the bloke in the stand.

    Wolves v Lions 4/9 P R2

Really enjoyable meeting last night. Close scoreline, good racing, and no long delays between the heats. Heat 15 in particular was outstanding, a fantastic race in which all four raced hard and fair.

I'm just posting on my own behalf.

Why does every event become a feature of Phil Morris?
  5. Another nail in the coffin for Polish speedway.

World Cup - Wroclaw July 2023

Great meeting, exciting and unpredictable racing, and a format that allowed a fair last heat decider. All four teams played their part, and Poland deserved and earned their win.

I thought Tatum retired years ago.

The coverage seems to be more and more about Phil Morris.
  11. Some incredible racing at Lublin.
  12. Tatum and Nicholls with their X-ray vision calling definite contact.

Swedish GP Malilla Saturday July 15th 2023

The drone pics were terrible, the riders were infinitesimally small and at 45° in the image. It added nothing whatsoever to the experience.

Warsaw GP Saturday May 13th 2023

Either way you were saying Zmarzlik had passed (or got past) Doyle, which wasn't the case as they were side by side.

Warsaw GP Saturday May 13th 2023

I presume when you say passed you mean past. But that wasn't the case. The gap was there but Zmarzlik didn't complete the pass. They were side by side. Normally I'd say the rider who doesn't complete the pass is to blame if he brings the opponent down. But in this instance Doyle was culpable to some degree. Not an easy call and that's why we have referees to make those judgements.
  16. It's also his ability to not drift too wide because of the extra speed. Brilliant technique.
  17. What is this "holeshot" bollux? I get its meaning and relevance in motorcross and supercross, but in speedway the tag seems to be given out almost randomly.
  18. Zmarzlik channelling his inner Pedersen.
  19. What a joke of a meeting. Inclusivity at the expense of competitive racing. An appalling track. Mistake-littered commentary. Altogether a great advert for world-class speedway.
  20. Great viewing and an exciting conclusion, thank you R&R for the link.
  21. Following his antics the evening before when Wolves rode at Oxford.

2m rule scrapped from july 4th to 1m

It's inaccurate posts like this, in the wake of deliberately vague pronouncements from this government, that cause uncertainty, leading in part to people spreading the virus. Social distancing has not been reduced. It is still 2m. If 2m is not feasible (for instance in places with limited space such as some shops) it can be reduced to no less than 1m. There is no reason for it to be less than 2m for spectators in a sports stadium.

    Wroclaw GP 2019

Although you answered your own question for yourself (and said you weren't listening to the commentary anyway, which rather negates your point), for me it devalues not only the live coverage but also the recording as a part of speedway's history. At its best, speedway is the greatest sport on the planet; those in the privileged position of being paid to commentate on it should aspire to deliver real words that befit the action, not whoas, wows and ridiculously elongating the last syllable of a rider's name.
