Belle Vue v Ipswich 22nd April

Doyley will be in Ipswich's septet on Thursday against Sheffield. No doubt about that. But i fear the final Score tonight.....

Kings Lynn vs Sheffield - Monday 22nd April

Weather Permitting....Ive decided to give this meeting a look, as i cant get to Manchester to watch Ipswich's customary Loss at Belle Vue, and i'm looking forward to it. Don't think it's a given Sheffield win here, Lawson coming in as a Guest is a good move in my book, but Basso being available is key. Will be interesting what sort of reception Chris Holder gets from the Lynn supporters and how he goes on the track. Could be closer than what we all think. Roll on Monday for a Good Meeting

    Brummies 2024...

It was always going to be tough for the Brummies, in my opinion, especially with Milik and Pawlicki as their main 2 riders. I must admit i thought Klindt would of been called in by now, just on the Rider to replace Milik, who is there available, and i suppose can Birmingham afford a Big No 1....What is available???
  4. Your Opinion is valid my friend, but for me they don't start as Favourites, i think it's wide open this season, and i don't think Sheffield are as strong as they make out, i'm probably wrong, but i don't see them retaining their title. And i'm not saying Ipswich are Favourites at all, i just think it's wide open, and their are 2 or 3 sides that look stronger than Sheffield on Paper, but they dont race on paper i know??
  5. Exactly my thoughts....I knew King would be back........As Captain as well, will support the team obviously and King.....But Louis said the supporters will be excited.....well i have my doubts now ,Emil to be fair is enough to excite most if not all of us on his own(with Doyley even better), but if we name Hume as well, where is the excitement in that 7.

    Brummies 2024...

That's a great signing, would of loved to see him at Foxhall. Good start for you Brummies, Interesting days ahead for you Supporters. Intrigued who your big hitters are, exciting times.
  7. Yes Col, My point is as Doyley has not been announced as Captain, that means Danny is back as skipper ,and hopefully Emil and Keynan make up 4 signings, i assume Dan Thompson will be the R/S, so that leaves 2 spots.
  8. Jason Doyle is 1st announced...But no mention of being Captain.
  9. The Adam Ellis and Tom Brennan situation is certainly gaining momentum, Brennan as rumoured won't be anywhere near Kings Lynn next season, so i see it as us or Birmingham for Brennan. Adam Ellis is somebody i would definitely take at Foxhall, i do believe his bad season last season will turn out to be a one off, whoever gets him for me gets a rider who can up his average for sure. Not sure on Wojdylo, and i agree with previous comments on Danny King, poor till August, but very good for the last 2 month's of the season, depends on how Hawkins and Louis feels i suppose, but I'd have Doyley as Captain this season, seriously think that's a must and think it would be good for Danny to move on, but I'm definitely not convinced he will. Rew for me is in the 1-7, but can't quite get my head round what they will do with Danyon, and Riss it seems is at Leicester. I don't suppose anybody has heard any whispers as to when we may start to announce some riders confirmed for next season. I love silly season, but it can also be very frustrating, someone on the Lynn thread has put Dan Bewley could be there next season coz he's dating Rob Lyon's daughter, that for me is the best one yet, but i'm sure there are people with opinions of better rumours than that, but can't see Bewley in any other Kevlar's than Belle Vue's.

King’s Lynn 2024 serious team predictions

Harris is on the verge of agreeing a deal in principle with a Club, but its not Kings Lynn as of today, but as we all know that can change at any minute
  11. Again,it's all opinions Phil, but Doyley will be at Foxhall, that's a given with his relationship with Management and Supporters,I do agree with keep the top 2 and we may struggle, as said previously it showed at Sheffield if big 2 don't hit Double Figures we can get smashed up. I can't see Rew at Belle Vue either, so the gamble is Riss, they stayed so loyal to him, will they offload, who knows what they are thinking, as I've said previously Riss and Hume are the 2 under serious threat of change, but until averages are sorted, and of course what tracks are running in prem, it's all speculation. I would keep top 2, I was against Danny King up until August, but he was very good towards the end of the season, so due to his late form and he's Hawkins best mate, I think he's a shoe in as well, so I'd be surprised if our top 3 changed, but who knows Phil???

King’s Lynn 2024 serious team predictions

I can't say all rumours are right or wrong,as most are rumour and what is a reliable source....But Chris Harris certainly hasn't agreed to ride for Kings Lynn next season and that bit is true. He may well be a Lynn rider in weeks ro come, but I can assure you as of today NO talks have even taken place,on the others named,i would think Basso will be a Lynn rider, but nothing on the others. I do believe though the clubs know what the Team Average next season is going to be, but I hope Kings Lynn are much stronger than last obviously and I'm sure they will be.

    Sheffield Tigers 2024

Adam Ellis apparently is a done deal for Belle Vue, replacing Lidsey. I would also think you will have Jack Holder back, with his Brother and Pickering has to be in your septet, he's been very good for the Tigers. Then it would be Tobi or Tai for me, but we all know it's speculation. But who knows what will happen at the meeting to decide what happens and more importantly what tracks will make up the Prem next season.
  14. Right.......I've slept, read through all the posts......and think i just need to put my opinion onto this matter. I'm not going to go about the guests(although I'm not sure Harris should be able to ride for 2 teams in the play offs),but it is what it is, and Sheffield felt the pain of Robert Lambert guesting for Belle Vue last season, which i still say was wrong, but it's irrelevant. Congratulations to the Sheffield team(Kyle Howarth)on last night, joking aside ,any side that can't defend an 18 point lead, in my opinion doesn't deserve to win the title, we scraped in Play Offs, and we certainly give it a good go. So well done Sheffield, great effort last night, and you are the Champions. Sadly as a Witches fan, 8 weeks does not culminate in a season, but what a last 8 weeks this team has give us supporters, Runners-Up in the league and KO Cup winners, i would of taken that at the beginning of August, its been entertainment all the way with Emil and Jason, worth the entrance fee alone, it seems absolute certain both will return next season, so let's hope we have a league with enough teams in, so its competitive and all of us supporters of this great sport all over the country have Speedway to go and watch next season. But i cant just leave one situation which as a 55 Year Old lover of Speedway for over 47 years i have to address. This also isn't a jab at you Sheffield Fans as i don't blame any of you in the slightest, but i travelled to Sheffield last night, yes devastated at the end, but all Sheffield supporters(most) were very humble to acknowledge we had made the journey and conversations were absolutely fine, but oh my......Tai Woofinden, what can i say, for years now i have followed, supported and defended this guy at more than just the British Grand Prix's....But no more, in fact, i hope we bump into each other at Cardiff next year, yes i hear you all say, i bet he's scared, and i very much doubt he is, but what a disgusting individual this guy is, his behaviour as a 3 time World Champion(which ive seen him win twice) was nothing short of a schoolkid, he's meant to be a role model in the Sport, i even had dozen's and i mean Dozen,s of Sheffield fans actually apologise on his behalf for his Pathetic F**K OFF back to Ipswich comments on the mic. We won't get any kind of apology, as i doubt he even has that in him, so that's me done cheering on that reprobate. I didn't see the Lambert stuff, so no comment from me, although i now understand there is video footage coming out about those scenes, which i also find quite sad. Well done the Tigers, great performance last night, let's all hope we have enough tracks to cheer our boys on next season.
  15. Well......What can i say. What a fantastic night, and brilliant to see such a big crowd. As for the result, as I've said on here before, it's a Cup, and we have won it, and deservedly so in my opinion. I can remember right at the start of the season on the Peterborough page, i constantly said that Chris Holder wasn't in the bag as some were saying, yes i knew all along, but what a bullet they dodged there. And when some said he's coming to Ipswich, Thank god i knew he wasn't. What a whinger, and I'm sure i speak for many Sheffield Fans, a very very bad signing, at any time of the season, this lad would of been a disastrous signing. But it is what it is. On Ipswich, simply hit form at the right time, i will still standby my original stuff on the team, that we kept loyal to Riss for to long, and Danny had been bang average when we were going through our awful spell.....but when I'm wrong, i admit I'm wrong and the last few meetings the skipper has really come to the party, last night he was so quick, and when not in front, he battled hard for every point. Emil, no words can be said that haven't already been said.....we must keep him...Simple. He must return to the GP's, will that change anything, i hope not. But for me Jason Doyle has been class for us from the day he walked in 2 years ago, last night, simply untouchable and for me he's next season's skipper. But it's easy to hail the big guns, what about Keynan Rew, found it hard this season, but he's kept going, now looks like he's enjoying it, pleasure to watch him last night, and for me another rider who we must try to keep. Erik Riss, yes i did say we should of changed him, and i still standby that as I've said, but he tries so hard, he is grateful for the loyalty shown and he deserves his moment of glory, and it may not be just last night where we get glory this season, depending on his average, we might keep him you know. Danyon and Joe went ok, i still feel for Joe but i hope we can retain Dan, but he's a R/S so not sure what pick we get for that next season. Danyon for me works so hard, but every time he goes round them bends he scares me to the point i don't watch, but another lad who deserves this trophy. Well done to everybody last night behind the scenes, brilliant to see so many celebrate on Centre Green with the rider's( Sadly i didn't as was wearing Flip Flops)but brilliant to see you all enjoy the victory. Onto Belle Vue and Monday night, it's not impossible you know, we couldn't could we, i think we could, and i hope to be there supporting the lads
