  1. Now we have debated the cost of streaming would anyone like to comment on what they thought about the Peter Craven memorial speedway meeting. Very enjoyable meeting .Well done Brady great performance a well deserved win, great race in the final between Brady and Dan . Thought the new boys to the Belle vue team Ben and Connor showed great promise for the season ahead. Got me back in the mood for speedway and now well locking forward to the new season ahead .The performances of all the Belle vue team gives me hope that the new team can make up for the forced weakening of last seasons team down to averages.

    Brummies 2024...

To me speedway is a sport and in sport you play/ride to win. I love close plenty of passing races as we all do. But if its my team that are getting passed great race or not i am still pi**ed off. I also go home feeling a lot happier if my team has won. Its why the play offs pull in much better crowds meaningless silverware or not fans want/hope to see there team win something it makes people happy.

    Belle Vue 2024

There are 4 speedway of nations meetings to plug the gaps in July.

    Belle Vue 2024

Could have had the top 3 +Wright Cook and Mountain and Bailey stronger imo.

    Belle Vue 2024

Could have kept both Wright and Brennan releasing just Blodorn for a slightly weaker number 6. Keeping 6 of last seasons table topping team which would have i.m.o been a stronger team.

    Belle Vue 2024

3.81.Just a point to look at Phil is that B Cooks average was achieved by riding at reserve for 11 of the 24 meetings so you would think that would bump up his average. While Wrights average includes no reserve rides and a proven number 4 for 3 seasons so for 0.15 of a point we could have keep him. Hope Lemon has someone better in mind.

  8. Where do you get that Belle vue's team is about the biggest budget i have no idea what riders are paid. But i do know about other/last years team it is about loyalty and good long term signings. Kurtz has been with us for 3 seasons having put a point on his average since we signed him. Bewley has never ridden for any other Prem league club having started with us in the Colts team in 2016 on a 3 point average in the National league and only missing the 2022 season. Lidsey has never ridden for any other Prem league club starting with us in 2019 on a 4 point average finishing the season with a 5.15 average .Then signing again last year on a 5.15 average and finishing with an average of 7.82.Wright has been with us for the last 3 seasons and has been a very good number 4.(Sadly lost to averages next season) Brennan has been with the club for the last 3 seasons starting off as a rising star and ending this season with a 6+ average.(sadly lost him next year due to averages) Has never ridden for another Prem league club. Blodorn has been with us for the last 2 seasons starting off as a very young ass 4 point average and ending this season with a 5.83 average has never rode for another Prem league club. So from the above i see a team that is built on loyalty and wanting to ride for the club. Other loyal riders Cook 7 seasons starting on a 3,88 ave in 2011 Fricke 6 seasons starting on a 4.84 ave in 2015 Zagar 5 seasons S Worrell 6 seasons So in my opinion far from a buy success team yes we have made some big signings but in most case's the club have signed potential and if its paid off and have stuck with them for years.
  9. I think you should take him on as your rising star next year as a thankyou.

    Ipswich 2023

arnieg (or anyone else) you seem to have some knowledge of how the averages work. If you can could you explain to me why on the average chart from 5th of Sept Belle vues team average was 42.66.Then on the average list from the 25th Sept in the green column with no date they have increased to 42,74 with 4 riders having increased there averages and 2 dropping theirs. Now my question is if Belle vue had finished all their league fixtures on the 28th of August how can their averages have increased from their averages on the 5th of Sept when they have not rode any meetings.Hope all this makes sense.

    Ipswich 2023

Looks like we will have to weaken the team again for the second year running so we will be very interested in a very good 4 pointer who seems to like the NSS. Can the Australian team manager have any influence ? .
  12. I held my hands up in a follow on post that my research was not up to scratch, and now i am now happy to hold my hands up and say to Beowolf that i was wrong and Robert Lambert is very good around Monmore lol .
  13. Oops should have done a little more research myself in my defence the scores are from 6 rides per meeting and only 5 wins from the 12 rides but still good performances. I am right about the last 2 Belle vue scores though the throttle bashers did for ok themselves which was my main reason for posting but still no comment from the Wolf about it.
  14. Lamberts last scores at Monmore from 2019 riding for Kings Lynn were 5+1 and 4 . Belle Vues last two visits the scores were 46.44 and 47.43 so stop talking through your bottom and do some research before you post.
  15. No both 22 and 23 seasons he has not ridden enough meetings to qualify for a new average so he has been given an assessed average why 7.81 i don't know but it is an assessed average.
  16. First of all i think that guests/replacements should be allowed for all positions. Teams work hard all season to qualify for the play offs only to be weakened through injury its not fair for the team or there fans who have .spent time and money supporting them all season The play offs are supposed to be an end of the season spectacular for all fans so one or more weakened teams just ruins the whole thing .Many teams over the years have won the title because a better team has been weaken through injury i.m.o its the play offs biggest fault. Anyway the Lambert average thing if you look at last years final average list you will see that Lambert riding for Belle vue has a average of 7.61 an average that he achieved with his last full season with Kings Lynn. For what ever reason they have assessed his average when he came back for this season at 7.81 so having not done enough meetings for a new average he stays on his assessed average of 7.81.

    Sheffield Tigers 2023

I might be wrong but these changes make me very happy
  18. In that case what do all the top boys who do not ride over here ride in the S O N when held at the N S S .Do they all have a British track rocket ship set up for whenever they might ride in Britain. Also what did Lambert ride at short notice at the end of last season for Belle vue, whatever it was it seemed to be set up for a British track and was rather quick. If he can do it at the end of a season Why after more than half the season is Bewley still struggling to find a bike that works on a British track He has scored double figures 4 times from 10 meetings at the N S S Lambert scored 2 x 15 point maximums in his 2 meetings there. Not having a go at anyone would just like to understand why so many top riders can come over for a one off meeting and do very well whilst your lad and Dan have struggled in a good few meetings this season.Plus what is Emil riding first time over here for years and he is killing it.
  19. That is a big problem for British league speedway we have produced the big 2 Bewley and (Lambert who chooses not to ride over here ). but since Ellis (27) and the 30 ish plus brits Worrals. Wright Lawson etc. Brennan is the only rider i.m.o who seems to be showing any real promise of reaching Prem league heat leader status, and from what i can see most of the young riders out there look no better than Champ league level at best .If this is the case what happens when the 30 plus riders are past there best.
  20. If Wolves had kept Morris then yes they could have signed Andersen with a team total of 38.96.
  21. Not sure on this but if its a big signing say an 8 point assessed GP rider with the team ave already over the 39 point 6 rider limit isn't Max the only rider he can replace being the only rider with an 8 point average as i say not sure on this point.
  22. To me the only way things can work is for another club to move up into the Premier league. To take the league to 6 clubs like it was in 2021 and 2022 not great but it worked. If my memory is right Oxford wanted to start in the Premier league so fingers crossed they still wish to do so. Or Glasgow with possibly no derby with Edinburgh might change their mind who knows. The honest truth is if the league is to survive its a must the someone moves up. That then leaves the Champ league with a team down and the chance that they will also loose Brum and Edinburgh if this is the worst case scenario then it leaves 6 teams to meet each other twice home and away just like the Premier league nowhere near ideal but beggars can't be choosers but until the next disaster it keeps things going. The only up side to this is that Champ sides will be stronger with the heat leaders from the three clubs gone shared between the 6 clubs.(Trying to look on the bright side re last sentence,)
  23. On the British speedway web sight its listed on the fixture list for Mon 3rd of April at 7.30
