  1. Yep that's a good review of the meeting. I was a bit disappointed with the size of the crowd but hopefully the weather forecast caused a few to stay at home. Air fence delays look like becoming a pain this season though....
  2. To be honest I accepted several years ago that the GP series was an improvement on the old one of world final. At the time it was suggested I was one the doubters who thought it would destroy British League racing but I admit I really enjoy the series.

    Rollneck Wanted

The rollneck tops everyone wears under their kevlars to stop your neck getting shot blasted by shale. Where can I find one? None of the online dealers seem to sell them Any ideas?
  5. now on ebay with no reserve and a start price of 1p http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/321024911447?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1586.l2649
  6. The ones listed have now been sold. I don't have a peterborough one I'm afraid and all my others seem to be "missing in action" somewhere. If they turn up I'll advertise them again.
  7. I've put the belle vue one on ebay http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/321024883140?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1586.l2649

  9. I have a collection of junior (as in childrens) race jackets bought from various tracks during the 70's early 80's I'm wanting advice as to whether there is any interest in them and what sort of values I could expect for them. I haven't seen any on ebay recently etc. If there's no interest or they're worth peanuts then they can stay on my Garage wall but really I'd like to reduce my souvineer collection. I have Sheffield Tigers, Halifax Dukes, Belle Vue Aces, Coventry Bees, Poole Pirates, Hackney Hawks and possibly a couple more I haven't found in the loft yet.... Anyone? Thanks in advance
  10. Well in my opinion the only way to make speedway cheaper for the spectator is to make it cheaper to participate in. Then the cost outlay reduces for all involved and the savings can be passed onto us, the spectators. The Sheffield promoters tried this with their Honda engines trial but it never caught on. I watch many forms of motorcycle racing and have to admit speedway is possibly the worst VFM. I club race at Mallory Park etc costs less to get in and you have a full day of racing to watch. OK this is club racing but even BSB is only £30 a ticket or less if you buy advance tickets. I don't know how many Premier League Speedway riders actually make a profit from racing but I do know that club level road racers spend a fortune on racing and even national level riders have to pay for their ride. having said that I'll still keep watching speedway, just less often than I used to
  11. is it just me or has the live streaming got really stop start?
