  1. BilaHora Makes you wonder. Suppose there may fears that the attendance for Cardiff could be affected with an alternative to go to. I can understand Poland getting an extra GP but it's surely not the same with Sweden.

    Dag Lovaas

tmc He struck up a great friendship with Mike Watkin who he rode with at Newcastle and maintained their friendship afterwards. Mike of course was nicknamed "Mudlark" Watkin for also being unbeatable in the wet conditions. Must have been the only team that used to look forward to s**t conditions.

    World U21 final - lineup

Garf The incident report does seem to have the usual Shovlar/Poole spin about it. But I won't comment cos I didn't see it.

    Jimmy Squibb R.I.P.

I remember him riding for Plymouth and at New Cross. Good hard rider who must of scared the life out of other riders with his devilish looks.

    Bill Andrews or Bob Andrews

Bill Andrew first rode in England for Newcastle Diamonds about 1962. He was in a team of Australations, Mauger, Gifford, Duckworth, Goog Allan.
  9. Richie It only takes him 2 minutes, or so I have heard.
  10. It's definately the blue one for me. A cross between Rachel Stevens and Claudia Schhiffer ? Mind you she's the spit of the wife anyway. Please excuse the wobbly writing.

    Nostalgia- Cradley Heath?

Yes, those were the nights. Lost for half an hour trying to find the track. Ivor not getting his Daz white overshirt dirty Wondering who would get fenced that night Whether you could get out of the stadium and the bus still have its wheels on Being able to eat your chips after the meeting with no fingers broken. Ah, those were the days, such fun.

Andre Compton rode as Stephen Williamson at Newcastle in 1993 as a 15 year old.

    Who was it?

SCB Workington brought Danny Hughes in 1999 I think and he rode 3 times. Then found out that he was only 15 and should not have ridden. Was that him ?

    Riders with two names

Andre Compton -- ? Andre rode at Newcastle in 1993 under a false name cos he was too young for a licence.

    Tony Rickardsson's knock

Papa If a rider shows signs of concussion or there is hint of him being unconscious, the rider is not allowed to race on. In the case of concussion he needs to be cleared by a Doctor testing him and in the case of being unconscious is not allowed to ride for a week I think.

    What about Scott then!!

Well done Scotty. I think you did everything not to qualify but you still nearly made it. Fair dues to the Englishman.
  19. Jill Said what. Can you not recognise a pleasantry when you see one.
  20. themanwiththeplan I think Nicki did what he thought was right and I applaud him for it. How many in the final would have done the same. None.
  21. SCB, Jill Both KB and PUK did brilliant.
  22. Dirty Greg, dirty Jason. Com'mon Nicki.
  23. SCB Yes, but if don't excited in a world championship you should not be there. I have seen worse reactions to that at PL level. I like Tony Steel and he is top referee but I think the ginger winger conned him.
