Some good action, good advert for NL speedway. All the Islanders rode well, felt they deserved the point possibly more. We started off slow. JWW found last seasons form from nowhere. Turning the match on its head. Kurtz was a level above anybody else. Track was fab for an afternoon meeting. Enjoyed it. Had a free 'bow of the dad so all good .

Glad you had a good time HT. As you say good to see Stoke doing something, with a primarily young element to the riders in the NL,and trying to attract a younger(new) genertaion of speedway fans a pumping atmosphereis important!

Seems some of the Dudley fans bit to obvious bait. Oh well. Well done Dudley, I'm glad you got some success, for your fans that post on here that I have time for. Anyone moaning about Roynon at this stage of the season is beyond me. Vogs assessment although brief seems fair, have respect n time for his views. He says the meeting wasn't the best but went to the wire,with Dudley taking the win. I'm glad for the likes of C21st heathen & greyhoundp who have something to celebrate. As although (never met them) seem to me to try be objective fans & unbiased but still passionate, but understanding of other clubs fans whilst also being big contributers to the NL section & speedway in general(can remember a good bit of banter taken in the right way on numerous occasions last year and through the winter) Nice for them to celebrate something positive.

Congratulations to Kyle on winning & Adam Allott & Todd for completing the top 3. Large crowd with some cracking racing between a very competitive field. Heat 12 sounded stonking. Hopefully Adam Roynon is ok.

Group A looks like it's got the potential to be a really tight group, difficult to pick a winner out of that. Group B Stoke should really walk that.

There are not many people in the NL who could replace Kyle.Especially with the Form Kyle was in. Shame he's out becuase Todd's battles with him against Dudley & at home to Newcastle in the PL were fantastic.But Jay will be a good replacement. Hopefully a top 3 of Adam/Jay/Todd in any order.

Hope you enjoy your trip, I think you could well steal a win. Make a big to the potters league position especially if you picked up all 4 points.

Damn i was out by a point on both sides. Great win for Stoke,with everybody contributing. The Colts put up a decent display against a very strong Stoke side. Good performance from Timbo

Congratulations to Garrity on winning the title. Things are starting to look a bit better with a number of decent young brits coming through. Hopefully we can look forward to this crop of youngsters progressing up through the PL of the next few years.

Well done Scunthorpe. Great performances from Irving & Birks. Irving particularly has made great progress imo dominant at home,better away & put some good scores in at PL level, well done. Wrathall, Nielsen & Worral provided good support tonight as well by the looks of it. Hornets did as I expected, happy enough with the performance.

Should be a Scunny win. Somewhere between 10-20 points i would think. Good luck to the Hornets though.

Yep mate definitely agree with that, we all want that & hopefully whatever they do helps the sport in the UK & the young lads move forward. Good to see that the young heathen lads are ok.

Quite possibly I was mate, I apologise if I came across quite strongly or even nasty, just I think there was some other points that needed to be raised and you will discuss them.

Totally agree they deserve are support and hopefully will learn & benefit from the experience as well as causing a few surprises.

Ben what your saying is the loopholes shouldn't be closed as long as we force them to ride for Britain which isn't the same thing. I highly doubt it will ever be enforceable in law. Unless qualification criteria for representing a country changed across all sports. I highly doubt that even if it was enforced we would feel any benefit to the system before the NL and the standard of British riders in the NL is no comparison nor will it be unless we see drastic changes before they reach the NL. Forcing them to ride for GB if they wished to ride NL,would probably mean they would all come over on 5s to the PL anyway and still be for the most part miles better than anything produced domestically. It's funny how many British people selectively choose when they are/are not British but don't approve of other people having more than 1 nationality or think that they should have the same freedom of choice. I'm more than willing to agree to disagree on the matter, I'm glad to see that your still as passionate about young riders and the NL as ever.

Which would mean we would have no chance of any of them riding for Team GB, at least with what we have then they might choose to ride for Team GB. But rest assured if that happened at the top level Team GB will still be rubbish when it matters, until they get investment & development in place & realise & accept where Team GB's place in the speedway world is.

I disagree that choice should remain with the individual as it is in every single other sport. The only reason people want it to be the case is a) Because they realise the Aussies who have British passports/some form of nationality are better than anything coming out of the GB isles atm. Because they want to win. I think the rules should stay as they are. It's funny how people who claim to not want any dual nationality riders in the NL would sell out there ideals if the riders were forced to ride for Team GB. And probably wouldn't have a problem if one of them chose to ride for Team GB under the current rules. I think they have a better chance of getting someone to ride for Team GB out of choice than enforcement. I highly doubt any of the dual nationality Aussies would take a place in the NL if they were forced to ride for Team GB.

Glad to see us get closer than I expected with the aid of TR & a few extra points that were unexpected e.g. Tom Young holding on to win heat 8. Rich Andrews put in a useful display at reserve picking up a few points. Todd & Jay led from the front & had good battles with Kyle who also put in a good display. Well done to Dudley.
