So… what happens next? could the Supporters club put it up on Facebook and get a proper vote and see who is interested on there?

Good idea but you will get the same old same old not everybody does facebook, twitter and instagram   having said that not everything goes on our website.

    Could you get 250 people/companies paying £25 a week/£100 a month by DD for 100 shares per month. ?

That's £25k a month coming in if you could.

Maybe offering "Free" admission for that "investment" to each fan.

And "Free" advertising for the companies around the stadium .

Surely 250 people in a conurbation the size of Newcastle could be found who would like the sport to continue and could stump up £25 a week?

Might need local media involvement and a certain Premier League Football Club may be able to help get the message out/put their hands in their pockets.

    Nothing ventured, etc etc

NB. Maybe get Nicki P contacted to do some media work around the closure, someone must have a contact for him.

He might also be the first to stump up some cash, given the push the Diamonds gave his career; and start the ball rolling. ..

i like the £25.00 a week idea Good idea , but would that be keeping rob on board or finding a new promoter ??

Had a chat to Rob last night and the rumours have started with talk of two interested parties... one a former promoter and the other a consortium... although still no approaches made as yet... however if anyone is interested they will need to declare that interest sooner rather than later and get their finger out otherwise they will be in the same position as Rob was being late to the table for rider selection and building a team...

So never say never... but nothing to report yet...

Really? Looking at raintoday.co.uk I would be surprised to see it clear away in 40 minutes. But stranger things have happened. :t:

Newcastle will want this to go ahead at all costs we need this double header on , from what am seeing looks like a healthy crowd expected oh and a coulpe of dodgey pirate fans

just been on met office no more rain from 2pm even if start time is put back dont think too much harm in that ?

Sitting in a pub in South Shields watching the rain fall outside. Have a feeling we will be heading down south earlier than expected. Its been awful weather nearly all weekend which is a real shame. This inclement weather is bound to affect the attendance which is not what was wanted.

no more rain forecast after 2pm we will be fine enjoy the rest of your tour :t:
