Not right to give out names and I won't
Pretty certain I can back that up,If it's the same guy I know of he wasn't injured at his home track but up at one nearby but still...I find it terrible that he was told that...
btw no names, not right to,just felt it needed confirming this happens

Toby Kroner was the one racing with a BMW engine
This has to be the future of regular speedway, personally I think it's the only was the sport will survive in the long run

See what happens is certain countries dont want foreign flags like England or GB in the stadium. So when security see fit, they tell you no flags unless Polish. It depends on their moods and attitudes!
In the UK at Cardiff for example, we welcome with open arms to all fans from all over the world to cheer and support their favourite riders/s in harmony.
Is this to be believed?
We're declared "racists" when we fly our flag or favour our own,so as I say vote UKIP..
-
Arriving at stadium entrance with English flag told cannot take it in.No foreign flags allowed only Polish flags allowed to be displayed! Were refusing to allow me into stadium. After arguments managed to shove flag in bag and push through.Obviously cannot show support for foreign riders.Try stopping Poles taking their flags into Cardiff .
Vote UKIP...

Covatti signing of the prem winter IMO will be a huge improver on average a bargain
Agreed, the guy nearly made the GP's ffs,he'll go straight up to heat leader and maybe even stay there IMO
-
But he wasn't caught drinking and riding he failed a test and due to the failure of the test was prevented from riding. If he failed a test after the meeting he would then have been caught drinking and riding. I'm certainly not condoning what happened but there is a big difference IMO
^^^Why you shouldn't drink and post..

Brian Burford's features are by far the best for me,always something that little bit diferrent

Very tactful Scribbler.
Mr Rising knows exactly what he's saying, much like the troll Gustix. I love the way he tries to play Mr innocent in his posts, after he's deliberately thrown the worm in.
He's a journalist it's ingrained, He loves to come here with the, 'I know something you don't know' posts and we get the. 'Oh thank you Philip' brigade, kissing arse, 'We wouldn't have known that if it hadn't been for you Philip' Oh please
He won't reply tonight of course, he'll be rubbing shoulders ( kiss arsing) with the great and mighty and preparing to come back with his next instalment for the saddos to hang on to tomorrow

I know in the old one off final days, that the competition could be brutal and unfair riders often being unlucky and eliminated. Now by Harris qualifying does it show that this system is not bullet proof? no way is he in the top 16 riders in the world.I always thought this GP series were for the best 16 riders in the world even Covatti could of qualified tonight in the old days he would of had to have five good nights to qualify.Harris i like and enjoy watching him ride, and fair play to him he took his chance but would the series not be better off with a Laguta, Kildemand,or both Pawlicki brothers as examples it shows though after all these years the system is still not really FAIR.
Don't be ridiculous,it was a "freak" set of circumstances, the guy wasn't expected to do what he did, pull off an incredible ride like that.Fair play too him though!

Some real first class keyboard jockeys in here tonight, slagging Kilderman's off, seriously,an idiot? A huge pressure cooker meeting,a GP place at stake, the guy rides like he does for the results he gets, that style goes a long.long way, just look where he is right now, look how far it got him last night too.
Nobody moans when it pays off and the entertainment factor's high, but it bites sometimes and today was one of those days, lighten up
Good for Harris too, well deserved and hopefully he can make a better go of the 2015 GPs

Was just about to post something very similar. I don't know a great deal about Phil Morris, what I do know and have seen over a good few years is that he is very keen on helping youngsters make their way in Speedway. I don't believe that there is any way he would involve himself in a scheme that would hurt the development of young British riders.
If that pay rate is right it may not be a great payday but these are kids who generally would be riding NL at £10 per point (in theory) or PL and not earning any or much more than they are being offered. We don't yet know what the package is but the opportunity is there for a kid to make some big strides if they take advantage of it. As for upgrading to EL equipment that's not strictly true as they will be riding against the same people they would be in the NL and PL. However when the time comes to make the step up perhaps they will be better informed as to the upgrades they really need to make rather than just throwing money at stuff that won't actually make them faster.
These kids are at the sharp end of the NL and as your theory, will be riding for more than £10 a point I assure you, they'll pull in a bit of help here and there too
Equipment wise, you'll find these NL rides' 2 bikes sitting in the pits made up of incredibly similar set ups to the top boys, aside from some of what's inside engines-but not greatly as the area that the money all goes is in keeping things new or to as high standard as possible for as long as possible, clutch plates in machinery used in the NL/PL often have to last 2 or 3 times longer than EL when riders are on 1/3 of the money, and engines will simply have go another couple of meetings before a freshen up or rebuild
If promotors decide they need to try this approach to the reserve area of 6 and 7 then the £120 should be after a figure to cover their costs as previous import riders usually cost promoters anything from vans, board, flights and usually some form of guarantee etc, that's if their claiming that it's for the good of these lads
4 riders at every EL meeting costing promotors peanuts is a pretty low even by their standards, labelling it as "bringing on British talent",give them more of an honest figure to help them and reward them for their commitment,if if has to come from somewhere then it should be the other end,I appreciate that the whole ins and outs aren't exactly known but surely it makes sense regardless?
-
The promoters are offering what they can afford to offer. Being a promoter means that they are taking the risks! The new set-up can help British riders, lessen the dependence on foreign riders and hopefully mean that everyone can afford to carry on. They might not be offering what YOU want, but I wan't to give it a fair go. Trying to blackmail them by staying away won't suddenly make them wan't to risk everything on more expensive options, that's already been tried and it lead to this.
How about the promotors offering riders at the other end of the pay-scale what they can afford to,that's the area that's got them in more of a bad financial situation afterall,

Sadly I'm afraid there seem to be far too many stories along those lines that revolve around Foxhall,as you say,not all riders or management in Speedway are quite so shortsightedNot surprised if that is true. A good friend of mine sponsored Louis jnr one year for a considerable sum, and never got any thanks at all. A year later he got a call asking if he wanted to continue, and you can guess the answer. He and his family were lost to Ipswich speedway forever i'm afraid, and that's a shame. Fortunately, most speedway riders don't act like prima donnas though...
Colin mills, yes I though I recognised the name,Keith Roswell, that's a bit of a blast from the (although not too long) past.a sponsor of CL,wasn't he in charge of PR,meeting sponsors etc?
-
Sad for Peterbro, makes you wonder how many more would've gone without change
Good to see more emphasis on Brits,I just hope promoters will stand by them and give them a fair crack,
-
Some excellent points, aside from the only real money club-Poole,who can really afford the top GP riders next year without the Sky cash? I'd rather do without them for the sake of the sport, some of the wage bills being talked of are mind boggling, back to basics and rebuild from there I say
-
If they can stay as they are, that's ideal for them, they're the kind of riders that can get a ride in Poland etc.The Elite/Premier gap is always closing, who knows what will happen next year if SKY pull the plug,I could see the Elite league possibly getting dilutedAbility wise, Barker & Cook should be full time EL riders, I think Barker has said the current setup makes it too difficult to make the EL pay unless you can get some good rides on the continent.

The only trouble will run offs is the venue, its arguably always going to please some riders more than others,at leeast they'd get a shot sat it though
