  1. definitely stronger with lawson imo, so lets hope the UK rules prevent PUK riding....
  2. Now on Ebay.....having a bit of a clear out.... including postage works out at about 30p a programme....bargain.... 230 Speedway Programmes - Kings Lynn - Ipswich - Mildenhall | eBay
  3. Lawson and Basso give us a fighting chance, will be close, but struggling to see past a Sheffield win again.... aargh

    Ipswich vs Oxford 18th April

I couldn't possibly comment on the ineptitude of the Oxford team manager....
  5. I know it's early doors, but I'd be very tempted to bring in Klindt. If he produced his form of last season he would definitely improve our top 4 chances. I got the impression he was a good team man to have around the pits as well. I was disappointed when he went to Oxford. That's no disrespect to NKI, but as others have said, he is getting to the wrong end of his career and I rather remember his earlier years for the club

    Stars vs Aces - 11th April 2024

The meeting moved along at a good pace, but I apologise for heat 15. All my fault as I said to my mate we'd done well to get to heat 15 by 9.10pm after delayed start. Cue a fall and two false starts!

    Stars vs Aces - 11th April 2024

It was a real shame we lost Leicester and Brum due to weather. Those two 'easier' matches would have sharpened us up before BV and Sheffield matches and may well have meant we would have beaten BV the other night

    Stars vs Aces - 11th April 2024

Spot on, that's my concern too and with several newbies in the team we've not yet had the chance to ride as a team at home yet. A very stiff test. If we can pull this one off it augers well for the rest of the season, but its only going to be a few points either way

Birmingham v Oxford Mon 1st April PL

Peter Schroek was never the sharpest team manager at Kings Lynn, was glad to see the back of him, sounds like he ain't improved
  10. He might need a spare pit gate, some forecasts suggesting 50mph winds tomorrow evening....metcheck is somewhat calmer so hope thats the correct one!
  11. Totally agree or the atmosphere is likely to be flat as a pancake We had a chap on the mic a few seasons back, very lively but knew sweet fa about speedway. With a bit longer behind the mic he'd have developed a bit of speedway knowledge and been decent at the job
  12. Simon Lambert for me too - he'll be back as soon as we pick up an injury in the team. We've had enough injuries for various riders over the years, probably more than our fair share..
  13. Has Robert Lambert ruled himself out of full time return? Not sure if he is still on his low average or got a new one at end of season..
  14. Stars must be one the few teams Harris has never actually been a bonafide team member

    Kings Lynn 2023

Agreed, does seem like a good bloke, but makes Richie Hawkins look like a genius team manager...
  16. Klindt would have to be in there for me as second heat leader and probably captain...

    Kings Lynn 2023

Would be a decent side. Works for me Any team needs to start with Klindt/S Lambert/Rowe - plus a decent no. 1 - ideally R Lambert and build from there. No one else from the current team really deserves another shot in the team. Suspect we might see more from Breum - he looked pretty decent in a couple of matches but pants in the rest - so assume maybe carrying an injury - that said for a similar average Ben Cook would be a much better option
  18. Can Tarasenko guest for Klindt and use the r/r for jorgensen? Won't make a lot of difference to the overall result. Belle Vue will still turn us over - just hope for some good racing

Ipswich Vs Kings Lynn August 10th

Thought Basso partly had a point, the riders were certainly bouncing round bend one bit like a roller coaster - pretty sure that contributed to one of Danyon's falls and Laguta's. Rest of the track seems ok though from my vantage point between bends 1/2 Would like see footage from Kings fall, at the time I thought Klindt was hard on him and didn't leave a lot of room, but king could have shut off rather than run out of track exiting bend 2. Or maybe that just the difference of opinion being a stars fan rather than ippo fan!!!

Ipswich Vs Kings Lynn August 10th

I'm planning on see us get beat again - but if no Laguta I won't bother - we are gonna struggle enough anyway and that would just make it worse. If he is missing I hope the management come clean and tell us in advance - nothing worse than turning up and finding out as that is an even bigger p1ss take...

    Ipswich 2023

On his day, Riss can beat anyone. I appreciate he has just come back from illness, but is riding like he was for Kings Lynn a couple of years back and thats not a compliment

Where is Allit in all this? Still in hospital?

    Kings Lynn 2023

I'd heard something pretty similar from via a close connection to Alex. Certainly seems its his personal side has come into play here and nothing to do with KL or speedway, so no point trying to read any more into the situation than that. Also don't forget Alex brought in Kye to be able to fit Artem in as it couldn't just be a straight 1:1 swap with KK due to the averages. The intention was always to bring Picko back once fit - and depending on averages / performance of other riders in the team at that time depended on who he would / could replace. Obviously with Alex now dropping out and Buster having to step back in that unfortunately hasn't happened. The strange one for me was Freddie leaving 'due to Poland' - coincidence that he went at the same time as Alex or not??

    King's Lynn v Belle Vue 08/06/22

Why do people continually come on here and ask 'was the crowd good?' or 'what was the racing like?' If everyone did that and not bother getting out and supporting clubs there would be no speedway. That was easily the best meeting racing wise in quite a while. After Klindts first race win and leading his second until Freddie had engine problems causing Dan to fall he looked like he might have a decent night - and that probably made the difference in then end. Freddie wasn't too far away from the points either and seems to be moving in the right direction, albeit slowly. Tofty looked back to his best...and that man Laguta - wow - gonna enjoy watching him all season long!! Jason Edwards showed improvement with a decent bit of fight. Having said all that, had Kurtz been there last night BV would definitely have had a bigger win All moving in the right direction - wonder what the change is that Alex has up his sleeve?

    King's Lynn v Belle Vue 08/06/22

I can't see past a BV win either. Hope I'm wrong. We need to see some fight from the rest of the team this week and that was sadly lacking last week. I'd almost settle for a (small) defeat if we saw some decent racing....
