    Glasgow Tigers 2024

For what it's worth, IMO, I don't mind the 'drip feeding' of our signings for next year. For me, I like the fact that maybe the Club's focus will be on the charities associated with each rider, that way they will get some attention for a period of time. Slightly different approach to other teams, but hey - we don't all want/need to be the same....

I am not sure at all regarding Connor, but is he not an asset of Glasgow and could be a solid second string on that average, given the reduction in pts limit, plus has had a season at Redcar under his belt now.

    Vadim Tarasenko

I think in everyone's best interests - this thread should be deleted! Nothing worse than talking about politics, never mind anything regarding a conflict that is currently on-going!!

  10. I am wondering that as well, if Ace is fit enough to ride tonight.

    Redcar v Glasgow

No worries. Hopefully one of the admin can delete this thread.

    Glasgow 2023

Very good points made and I do agree with the captaincy issue, nothing against the lad but as you say - too early for it just yet. Based on experience alone, either Harris or Vissing would be better as captain + take pressure off Tom a little by letting him ride at 3 or 4.....
  18. Could we change up the order a wee bit, to rattle a few cages and maybe even say last chance saloon for a rider or two? And how about taking pressure off Tom Brennan a wee bit and give the captaincy to Claus - purely based on his age and experience? Let the young man concentrate on his riding? Go something along lines of.. Harris, Nowak, Basso, Brennan, Vissing, Complin, Pijper?
  19. Means for this race, it's new guy Borke and Thomson at 3 & 4 respectively, as well as guest Kerr & rookie Wood for 3 heats for the Monarchs.... Got a feeling Fredriksen will be a busy man tonight! For the tigers, Brennan and Vissing at 3 & 4 look a decent pairing + interesting to see how Nowak goes with Harris. Ht 13 is always interesting, but even more so with Harris and Basso... I will be tuned into the updates later and hoping for a 44-46 to the tigers!
  20. From the Edinburgh Monarchs website.... TELLAR MONARCHS: Richie Worrall (guest), Paco Castagna, Bastian Borke, Kye Thomson (captain), Lewis Kerr (guest), Dayle Wood, Lasse Fredriksen. ALLIED VEHICLES TIGERS: Chris Harris, Marcin Nowak, Tom Brennan (captain), Claus Vissing, Benjamin Basso, Ace Pijper, Lee Complin.
  21. Yeah, I get that and I am sure that was brought up at the start of the season - our team is full of racers, all going to be chasing the same piece of shale.... But when it starts costing potential points and heat wins - surely it's worthwhile at least trying something a little different?
  22. I wouldn't mind seeing how this worked as pairings as well, especially around Ashfield.
  23. Very well done to the Tigers!
  24. Teams taken from Glasgow website: Glasgow: 1.Chris Harris, 2.Marcin Nowak, 3.Ben Basso, 4.Claus Vissing, 5.Tom Brennan (c), 6.Lee Complin, 7.Ace Pijper. Berwick: 1.Thomas Jorgensen, 2.Jonas Knudsen, 3.Leon Flint (c), 4.Jye Etheridge, 5.Rory Schlein, 6.Nathan Stoneman, 7.Connor Coles. Should be a good evening weather wise and no doubt some cracking racing on track, with a Tigers win by 14-16pts IMO.
