Looks like a big home win but more importantly valuable track time for youngsters. Also I understand a varied second half of at least 9 heats and various classes. So good to see the opportunities given. If you are doing nothing on Sunday, go to Buxton and support the future.

Redcar Bears V Newcastle Diamonds League Cup Thurs 9th April 2015
BuxtonTiger replied to dantodan's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
From a neutral point of view last night. Racing was good value, viewing very good, other facilities are better than many other tracks. Two years since my last visit, it will not be two before my next. -

Malcolm When will a Stoke Speedway website be up and running? It seems poor that most things come out via a forum.

Where is the live feed? -
What is the format for the meeting? I think an individual meeting would not be good as there would be a winner and the only winner on the day should be Ricky. In view of the possibility of a large crowd, will it be possible to buy tickets in advance?

Whilst not disagreeing with you foamfence, a team manager from a considerable distance away. At what cost to the Hitmen as clearly every penny counts, I sponsor to help the riders and the speedway. Is any of my money going to be spent on a team manager?

Is there any news as to the return of a potters website?

Following today's announcement of the Fast Track riders (many of whom appear to be making slow or reverse progress) has anyone got the odds for who might win the league? -
Anyone have any contact for tickets at Mildura?

After the 4 hour and 50 minute double header at Scunthorpe on Sunday what is the longest a meeting has taken. In the dim and distant past I remember two fours meetings at Wolverhampton and Sheffield that ran 48 heats.

Scunthorpe V Buxton ( N L) - Sunday, October 12th (approx 7pm)
BuxtonTiger replied to lucifer sam's topic in National League Speedway
Dead right, if we get Eastbourne, Arena, Tyne/Tees and possibly Peterborough then that's another 28 riders needed. From where? For this to happen the points limit needs drastically reducing and hopefully ALL sides would have to include at least 4 three point riders. I but dream of this happening and National League racing returning to the quality of meetings that have happened at Buxton & Scunthorpe in the past couple of weeks. -

What a great advert for The National Development League. Two teams evenly balanced given an excellent track, only ever one thing that could happen. Result exciting competitive racing just like it should be. Roll on the return next week and a 35 point limit for next years league.

Is there a date and venue for this meeting (Rye House website lists next meeting as spring 2015) -
Can anyone explain the logic or reasoning behind the entries for the above. Am I being simple or with eight teams in the league would two riders per team be a correct and fair system.

Belle Vue National Stadium
BuxtonTiger replied to PHILIPRISING's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
Just another thought, if this is to be a National Centre, one would have expected there to be plans to include an 80cc track etc to help develop the future. All I can see is a 3g Rugby League pitch. Is the future in Rugby League?? -
Belle Vue National Stadium

Looks to have shrunk since the original grand plans and with the new capacity can not in all reality be a nation speedway stadium. There appears no space for increasing the capacity and know where for the paying public to park. Why not just move the whole operation to Buxton. -
