    Scunthorpe Scorpions 2020

Awful news. Condolences to Danny's family and friends. Danny rest in peace
  2. There are many other good, and better, tracks that deserve such events. It all comes down to planning. Doing the hard work, making sure that everything is in place, before making announcements, this would create confidence and credibility. Also, when things go wrong, put your hands up, and be honest, don't hide behind cleshays, 'beyond our control '. Supporters need to be treated with respect. I am sure that the great speedway supporting public will do their best to support this meeting despite the difficulties caused by the lack of respect.
  3. I'm just doing a catch up. Have I missed something, how come Rory Schlien is racing in the semi of the British Final? I thought he's Australian. Can anyone shed any light on this.
  4. Because he is British - the others are not. I must insist that I am not whinging, I am just pointing out the double standards he is trying to apply.
  5. A huge well done to the BSPA for standing up to this spoilt child. Woffinden needs to look closer to home, to work out who is depriving the British public of seeing his undoubted talent. Are we, the British public, meant to be grateful for his camio appearances? Remind me, wasn't a league title medal up for grabs last time? Mmmm. Who does he think he is kidding, when he says he is representing GB in the grand prixs? He is only interested in himself and money. He has turned his back on British speedway but expects it to jump to his tune. It is really disappointing that he has turned out like this. Well done again BSPA.

    Speedway On Telly!

I've just checked Sky's website, there is no mention of the British Final. The next meeting listed is Berwick v Newcastle on the 21st May. Have Sky already pulled out?

Peterborough Panthers - Nl Or Closure?

All this is likely to create a break away league - splitting the speedway world. That'll give the legal eagles some work to do. Perhaps Coventry and Peterborough could add some spice by joining the Polish or Swedish leagues - just like they keep talking about for Celtic and Rangers. That would be an interesting situation - Tomasz Gollob and Co at Brandon and the Showground - that would create some interest from the BSPA,

    Witches

It is always a great shame to read the 'snooty' posts about the PL - people forget that riders need to learn their trade. If so called speedway supporters look down their noses at the PL and NL,where do the riders learn their skills? We need to encouraging through our support of the up and coming. Let's face it British Speedway is sadly lacking in it British top stars. The EL is a place where the international riders 'pop' in a couple of times a week to boost their money. It should always be remembered that NL and PL riders have something to prove wanting to progress, they are not all 'gate and go' that could be levied at some in the EL. Real speedway supporters should be united by speedway.
