With the kind permission of Leicester Speedway and much appreciated help from Martin Widman, we have resurrected the Mick Spiers Memorial Trophy meeting. Mick sadly passed away as a result of a speedway racing accident in 1983. The meeting will be held on Sunday 25th Aug 2013 at Leicester speedway. This date coincides with the exact date of the 30th anniversary of Mick`s accident and we feel this will be a fitting tribute to Mick. The trophy will be contested in the 2nd half and will feature the Long Eaton Invaders V a Mick Spiers` Leicester Lion Cubs select.
