BIRMINGHAM v REDCAR WEDS JUNE 2ND

Because the Brummies are in the Minority of clubs that are currently ran badly. I’ve been up to Edinburgh, Redcar and Bell Vue this year and they have all been great meetings. At those clubs you can actively see the promoters trying to move with the times and put on a show that in my opinion is worth the money to watch the sport we all love. It’s really not all doom a gloom and I realise not everyone can travel to other tracks often but even it’s only now and again I’d urge anyone to take a trip to any club in the country bar the Brummies and Kings Lynn at the moment. Plenty of positive to shout about this year already it’s a shame it’s so easy for people to just focus on the negatives.

    Redcar Bears 2014.

Rest of the Bears team Announced today - http://www.gazettelive.co.uk/sport/speedway/familiar-faces-return-redcar-bears-6399071 Hugh Skidmore Carl Wilkinson Jan Graversen Luke Crang So the 1-7 looks really good. 1.Richard Lawson 2.Carl Wilkinson 3.Aaron Summers 4.Hugh Skidmore 5.Kozza Smith 6.Luke Crang 7.Jan Graversen Great to see Wilko and Skidmore back and Graversen had a great year at Leicester last year and Crang should do well round the STMP. so looks like a good 1-7
  3. Wow that is shocking no need for it at all! that shouldn't be shouted at a rider at all ! Terrible what i ment by Banter was when you Boo Ritchie when a couple years back when him and Wilko kept first bend bunching then Wilko got excluded. both riders were absoultelty fine no hurt at all. Wilko got excluded at that point all the fans are going to hate the ref and Ritchie simple because he didn't get excluded. That what i mean Banter just the good old stuff between the fans and riders that doesn't get offensive but banter isNOT saying the words you hurt last night thats is just shocking for anybody to year especially your youngsters.
  4. Wasn't there last night but the tweet from Ritchie saying the Bears fans hurling abuse at him, is way to far, Ritchie is a fantastic rider and he has a reputation around the STMP and for that reason he has been boo'ed by the bears fans its all banter and adds to the atmosphere i suppose and Ritchie loves, it from his reactions on socal networking and i love that. Miss that rider who loves the agro from fans not many characters like that around. If these comments are true then i think its disgusting there is no excuse for those comments even if he got up straight away after the incident. No matter what, its bang out and no rider deserves that at all. Thankfully its the minority and not the majority but still doesn't make us fans look good at all. Where on earth have the Swales family gone because the track has been awful recently i've watched the track grading throughout the meetings so far and this new guy has done nothing but do circle on the tractor, very poor.

    Inside Speedway Magazine

Looking at it InsideSpeedway Magazine is not like the Speedway Star at all. I don't understand the negativity. Firstly It has journalists that love Speedway and are trying to make a name for themselves in sports journalism (making the assumation from twiiter) and the Managing Editor Marc Gent has given them his trust to produce this magazine. So surely thats a positive and reason to back it if you can afford it. Secondly it has a totally different appoarch to the Speedway star its not trying to take away from people buying the Speedway Star. Thats a huge reason why its quartley surely? Its just giving us Speedway Fans a little bit more, Its twenty pounds for 4 issues delivered to your house isnt that much. Again on twitter it seem the Managing Editor and the team behind the Magazine are trying the magazine in to retail shops (if you don't want to pay the extra delievery costs) The negativity is just a bit stupid everyone should get behind a new product that looks professional and good read. Give them a break!

    Gary Havelock........

Unfortantly i think the next time we will see Gary Havelock riding is when he does his last 4 laps in a farewell meeting in all honesty. I know Havvy has come back from bad injuries in the past but he is 44 years of age, after his comment on twitter saying it going to be slow recovery i highly doubt he will be on a bike by the 2013 season, so i cant' see him coming back in 2014 after nearly two years out of racing and being 46 years of age, i can't see him riding again, i'd love to see him ride he really is one of my favorite riders to watch and an out and out legend of the sport. But realisitcly i don't think he will ride again this crash i think he might have realised he isn't a young lad anymore and his bones don't mend like they did and with that and the injuries he has suffered. I just cant see it happening I think the Question is when and where Redcar or Poole or will he have to farewell meetings
  7. i know its early but the bears fans dont have much to look forward too unless we get tp the final of the pct so after a crazy speedway season i cant wait to start fresh next season. the bears have a lot of options i believe depending on weather or not riders go full time elite league. so next season id love to see 1. ulrich ostergaard 2. Matt tressarieu 3. Kevin Doolan 4. Richard lawson 5. Matej Kus 6. Jade Mudgway 7. carl wilkinson however being Bears fan anything could happen so realistically 1. Aaron Summers if aaron goes up tp elite league david howe 2. Carl Wilkinson 3. Kozza Smith 4. Kevin Doolan 5. Matej Kus 6. Jade Mudgway 7. Max Dilger

  9. Totally agree with whiteliner. i have seen CVS at the track once this year and that shows the lack of ambitions and support he is giving the club also on the silver helmet sitaution why did he not tell a couple of wolves riders (if available) to get there back side up here and he pays for them to ride. I would much rather have a budgeted Redcar Bears than No Redcar Bears because i would seriously miss it if we had to fold. I have the outmost respecr for Havvy snr but what i dont like is the rest of the consurtuim, excluding CVS they have no managment expeirence or speedway expeirence except for being a fan ( i could be wrong) so this is not going to help us at all. We need support from CVS and for the rest of us to give Havvy snr as much support as we can and tell the rest of the consurtuim to sort them selfs out and stop ruining the club. Can someone think of anyway of getting them to see sense !
