  1. I went yesterday.Good to see cars queuing to get when I arrived (crowd looked decent).Went far side thought I would be fine from getting filled in with shale....ok for a couple of heats...then the shale gates flew open!!!!!!

Nice to see Leicester and Birmingham fans there (long journey?).

Bowtell class as usual...good support from Ben and Alcock.Obvious weaknesses in team (but haven`t they all).

Wonder why Kent never got Warren back?

As Finn said you do really feel close to the action.

Unable to to get the SS. Any news on team building as it's gone very quiet. Other teams seem to be signing daily. Who will be left for Kent?

Funny named two riders....and all quiet since?

Maybe having trouble getting a team together!

The end of speedway in the South East is almost complete. Lakeside, Rye House, Eastbourne & Kent potentially disappearing within four years is beyond belief. Add this to the IOW dropping out of the league, will almost finish me with the sport. 2022 will mean amateur meetings, grasstrack and the odd trip. A far cry from the 1970's, when it was speedway every night of the week in my neck of the woods.

    Totally agree.

After years of going to Arena Essex/Lakeside and then Kings.....this latest news has finished me with the sport.

When I think of all the teams that have gone over a number of years....I see NO future in British League Speedway!!!!! :(:nono:

So it's official, the Eagles have gone. Another huge blow for us fans in the South East, following on from the recent demise of Lakeside and Rye House. I really will miss my Saturday nights in Sussex by the sea.

The bigger question is.....are we nearing the end of League Speedway in this Country.

The amount of teams that have fallen by the wayside is frightening.

And it sounds like there could be more.

  5. Massive respect to Paul Hurry for doing the sensible thing ....which is right for him and the team.

    So two places to fill.

Will young Mulford come in?....I would prefer him to carry on with the Royals and his grass track commitments...he can still stay at No 8.

Wonder how many points the kings have to play with?

Poole will be firing on all cylinders after the Leicester win.

Can only see a Poole win...something like 40-50?

Pity Kent don`t have a new heat leader in place and will Heeps be back (too soon?).

    Close with score!

Sounds like some decent Speedway, but looks like Heeps coming back too soon.

Wonder if new signing will make much difference to results?

Met Office forecast doesn’t look too promising .....heavy rain 1500-1600 ☹️.  Hope they are wrong .

Kent will be up against it  with a rider short and no satisfactory cover for R/R. Heeps  needs to score some points and prove his fitness......

Weather  and still weak Kent team keeping me away.

Wonder when new signing is going to be announced ??

Hope Heeps has not come back too quick!....we know what Speedway riders are like.

There are 2 types of work visa valid for speedway. One allows doubling up, the other doesn't.

It could still be Troy and they are arranging for a change of visa type.

Sounds like you know more about that side of it than me....but I would be surprised if its him!

Give it a go Old Bob..if good racing is more important than the result ,i think you will enjoy it,,,,there is no more entertaining rider than Scotty at the moment

According to the SS Kent are close to signing a "big hitter".....heat leader status and a lot of experience of British tracks???

Sounds like Scotty might have some support soon.

Anyone have any idea who it is?

Wright, Sarj, Palin & Kemp have all ridden central Park before (even if it was a while ago for Wright) whilst Allen and MPT are no slouches and should adapt easily. Sadly i can see a home tactical ride already and if Nicholls has anything other than a brilliant night again the Bears hit 50. Maybe the racing will at least provide a decent spectacle and its not all from the gate.

Agree....again no appeal to me I am afraid.....I just want to see a side that does not rely on one rider.

How has Paul Hurry got a Championship spot!! Truly awful and looks a good couple of stone overweight!! Literally any rider would be a better shout

Have to agree...really thought it was a joke when he was announced in the team!!!!

To think he replaced Covatti....I do not think he is even NDL standard at his age and all the injuries he`s had?

Website updated ....... and states that meeting is still ON with a dry forecast this evening.

Neither Jake Mulford nor Ryan Kinsley "available" at number 8 . Heeps got 1 point last night at KL.

One for the hardcore supporters ... already a dead rubber ?

Cannot understand how they did not check with young Mulford was not available???....and now Kingsley!!!

Hopefully the weather holds up for this one...Eastbourne look to strong for the Kings on paper ,,But you never know in speedway. Hurry,, hopefully will surprise us all ?,,Heeps,, looked a lot better in the Premier the other night ....What ever the result ,,I am looking forward to seeing Jake Mulford taking a few rider replacement rides,,we certainly have a couple of talented youngsters in him and Dan Gilks,,,,,and with Ben Morley, s  form at home so far really good....Add the ace in the pack Scott Nicholls flying every where,,,,You  have to be positive for the future,,,,,,,.....

Afraid this does not look attractive meeting to me.Weather dodgy....Eagles will probably be too strong...tie over already after 1st leg....Mulford not riding.....Kent too weak and need a couple of new riders.....anyway enjoy if going!!!!! :D;):t::party:

Sadly my interest hasnt been rekindled.... after a year "off" from speedway I had a few meetings pencilled in ...  as always the British weather intervened and advance purchase of tickets is not something I am going to do with dodgy weather forecasts.   Set my mind on going to see Jason Crump at Kent ... but sadly he was injured.  The Championship speedway team at Kent has been decimated by retiring riders , injuries and  even absent youngsters in championship qualifier meetings. Just Scott Nicholls as a heat leader.  AS for the NDL thats now a training league, and overpriced at Kent.

The little TV coverage I have seen on Discovery + has been appalling ......still the delayed starts and restarts ...... interspersed with so many adverts.

Looking at a tasty encounter EB vs Glasgow , but the silly so and so's at EB have made it a DAYTIME meeting.  Never seen a good one yet.

Think I am back to where I was last year with little enthusiasm to visit my local tracks at least until I can turn up and buy a ticket, choose where I want to sit/stand and not have to wear a mask for 2 plus hours.

I have to agree with most of above.

With a late start the weather has been pants....Kent`s team started the season quite weak (getting weaker)...Scotty the only rider really worth watching there...meetings called off for football reasons.....having to wear a mask even though an outside event.....getting tickets in advance.....and agree the NDL is overpriced and not appealing to go to.

Basically I have written off this year and hoping next year is much more appealing!!!!!

Some refreshing honesty from the Kings stating that targets Kasper & Auty have fallen through. certainly shows they are looking/trying plus also aware that RR does them no favours at all.

Saw that....so Auty could fit in after all?

Worry not Berwick have gone for Kasper not Hans.....to be fair i think Heeps will feature for a while longer and its only Bacon and Hurry that look likely to be replaced? Not sure what the rules are with replacing Hurry and continuing RR for Bacon? I still think Kinsley would benefit from the Number 2 jacket and can't score less than Hurry.

I know its Jasper...but was a Kent target....and sounds like very few choices.

Agree they should let Hurry go and bring another heat leader in ...plus one more?
