Believe me, I'm very much in agreement. My initial post was made with a big pinch of sarcasm.

Have you ever thought that everyone is just doing their best? Yes: the sport is ran as a shambles most of the time. Yes: there is zero direction in this country of where the sport is going. Yes: many fans just want to bury their head deep in the sand. But everyone is just doing their best. Perhaps instead of asking random fans on a forum what the message would be during a marketing campaign, we should instead be asking a marketing expert. After all, didn't we team up with one to get the Eurosport deal? That went well. I think most fans just want to tell themselves everything in this sport is sunshine and rainbows, and that's more dangerous than anything else.

Didn't think a draw was an unfair result tbh. Berwick's team aside from Harris was very hit and miss, whereas Poole's top 3 always kept them close. They were unlucky to lose it with Harris's ef, but then he wasn't under power first time around so that's life. Not a brilliant meeting but the second half of it was better, first live speedway for a while and I actually really enjoyed it. Will be back.

It's a shame Newcastle Speedway is too isolated/small time to get anywhere at the racecourse. If they are going to build the training ground there then that would be football, golf, racing, 5-a-side all in one place. A proper sporting community, imagine speedway too?

Agreed on the previous promotion, surely it took more than a bit of VAT fiddling to get the likes of Worrall, Lambert, Lyons, Larsen, and many more through the door over the years. I think Grant was (is) just useless.

That's been the rule as far as I can remember. If you wipe out your team mate then they get excluded. I have no idea why.

Think you should give the BSPL some credit, it's only been 2 full days since Newcastle closed and it's only the umpteenth time a club has closed midseason. You can't expect them to have a process for this.

Agreed. Can't really give English much credit if you believe the way it was left, but at least there was an element of reliability most seasons (and some decent sides). Grant has been about as successful as a promoter as he was as a rider. Far too pigheaded to make it work.

Never disputed that, but when you look at the hype when they were all 14/15 compared to now then it's fair to say all of them have been underwhelming in differing levels.

Hopefully Palin can get sorted soon but it isn't going very well. Between him, Kemp and Bickley, it's been a lot of expectation for very little return.
