I remember that. It's long puzzled me that the likes of Freddie Starr, Jim Davidson and Michael Barrymore gave their time generously, but have been shunned by the entertainment industry, but others with chequered pasts such as Russell Brand, Katie Price, Jonathan Ross, Rev. Richard Coles and Michael Jackson have not.

Freddie Starr used to pop in to Owlerton when he had a week's booking at the Sheffield Fiesta night club. He always did 10 minutes or so larking about on the centre green to entertain the crowd. He was on the front page of the SS once, along with Reg Wilson and Terry Betts. Three look-a-likes. Happy days.
  3. Good luck for the future Stuart. A good, reliable, entertaining rider, a nice chap and a role model for any youngster.

In this week's SS, Connor Mountain is saying that he hopes Sheffield will sign him for next season.
  5. Regarding the Danny Phillips fiasco, we have a member of the BSPA MC not knowing or ignoring the rule book. Shocking.
  6. Redcar: Thomas Jorgensen, Nike Lunna, Dimitri Berge, Jonas B Andersen, Ben Barker, Coty Garcia (G), Jordan Stewart. Sheffield: Charles Wright, James Shanes, Kasper Andersen, Todd Kurtz, Kyle Howarth R/R, Connor Mountain, Broc Nicol.
  7. Perhaps it was arranged at a time when Sheffield thought they would be having a meeting tonight.

    Sheffield 2019

Broc Nichol, Jordan Stewart and Gino Manzares appear to have a minimum average of 4.00, so I imagine that Zaine Kennedy would be the same.

    Sheffield 2019

Zaine Kennedy is the first signing for 2019.
  17. That was my first 'away' meeting. I remember Clive Featherby being one of the group of riders on 12 points, I think. Disappointed that he didn't win it, but Ivan deserved it.

    Sheffield 2019

In the press release, the words 'exciting talent' tend to suggest a younger rider.
  20. This is the only mention of the event in the Rule Book:- Supplementary Regulations will be issued at least 14 days prior to the event. Supp. Regs. include the line-up, riders briefing time, machine examination time, heat format, starting regulations etc., all decided by the BSPA.

    Ronnie Moore

R.I.P. Ronnie Moore. One of the best.
  22. Not a bad result considering Sheffield had a total of only 6 points from their 1 and 5, and I think we had 4 riders making their first appearance at Armadale. Well done Kasper and James.
  23. I agree with OdsalBoy. Since heat 6 against Lakeside, things have gone downhill alarmingly. More like the Cresta Run than a hill.
  24. SHEFFIELD: Jason Garrity (G), Todd Kurtz, Kasper Andersen, Broc Nicol, Kyle Howarth, Connor Mountain, James Shanes.NEWCASTLE: Stuart Robson, Tero Aarnio, Matej Kus, Ashley Morris, Ludvig Lindgren R/R, Carl Wilkinson, Matthew Wethers.
