Blackadder replied to Steve Shovlar's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Especially as he would do the right thing and act as guarantor for any losses incurred in the event that his forecast was wrong. -

I don't think that Eastbourne are allowing anyone who rides for them to double-up this year.

A post on the Glasgow 2018 thread:- Just seen on Twitter that JPB is taking time out for personal reasons. Not long to find a 2 pointer!

Kim Nilsson owed a few bob
Blackadder replied to Alan_Jones's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
Kim has said that some details were written on Meeting Certificates. When the SCB receive their copies, steps should be taken to progress the rider's comments. The rider should then be kept informed, not left in the dark. -
From Josh Bates on Twitter:- Just to let you all know I’ve started my rehab. I’m aiming to get back in the gym as soon as possible and popped in to see Ryan Rhodes earlier. Thanks again for all your messages of support.

Kim Nilsson owed a few bob
Blackadder replied to Alan_Jones's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
A part of the Speedway Meeting Certificate states:- We being the TEAM CAPTAINS certify that all monies due to each member of the Team have been paid as per the Riders Agreement except as listed below. -
I don't recall anything to the contrary, so I assume the regulation is still in place. The season starts soon, and the 2018 rule book is still unavailable.
-
According to the SS, the starting gate gantry is being moved to Leicester due to logistical problems.

Ben Fund
Blackadder replied to gee jay's topic in Speedway Testimonials & Individual and Shared Events
Many, many thanks to Paul Ackroyd for the excellent work that he has put in over the years as Ben Fund Secretary. The amount of time and money that he has contributed to the sport is remarkable. Plenty of people have been given honours for less. Good luck in his new role as Chairman, and to the new Secretary Stephanie Babb. -
R.I.P. Ron. I can still picture you storming into the 3rd bend at Owlerton, with your scarf flying behind you.

Looking at the aerial view of the proposed site in last week's SS, I am surprised that planners are still proposing an estate, be it business or residential, that only has 1 access road. H&S is supposed to be a top priority these days.

It's reasonable to apply for approval for a visa for Luke because of the circumstances, and it's reasonable for that request to be refused, but surely it's best to check with Stewart before implying that he is behind the refusal.

Excellent article. Very sad reading.

Many thanks OGT. I too was unaware of this channel. After cancelling Sky Movies, I tend not to look at the movie channels. Looks like there are some good films to watch.
-
There is speculation on the Leicester 2018 thread that Simon could be TM there.

In last week's SS, Dick Barrie said that only the top 3 in Australian State Titles will qualify for a UK visa, not the top 4 as before. I haven't seen this change announced in the UK yet. Are any other countries affected?
