    British Grand Prix 2012

We had a blast! Took our 6 year old son for the 2nd year running. Like many others bought cheap seats but in front row of upper tier at exit of turn four. Six of us cost £177! Same price would have got four of us into a Premier League football match with worse view! Thought crowd was smaller than last year but atmosphere much better, probably as result of better racing than 2011. Sad next year clashes with end of school holiday week as will probably be away somewhere and not be able to get the Cardiff and make do with seeing it on Sky.
  5. Thanks All! Certainly gonna make an effort to go along. Having never been to Foxhall, what are facilities like? Parking, is it banked/bring your own chairs like Lakeside or are their seats? Is food mainly burger van stuff or is there a Rye House type chippy?

    Ace Of Herts

Dear Uncle Len I'm going to be 6 years old four days after the Ace of Herts, my dad hates X-Factor/Strictly Dancing shows and wants a reason not to watch and to watch last speedway of season. Problem is mum will not let me go because I have school next day. Please do something about the start time so I can come and see the fireworks! Thanks Joe
  7. Cheers guys, will see if I can get the Mrs to go along too! Hope the weather stays good.
  8. Fairly new to the sport, first full season. Apart from the obvious (races over 16 laps?) can anyone give me an idea of format/who's riding etc of this event at Ipswich during the half term holiday and wether its worth an hours drive for me and my soon to be 6 year old son. Many thanks all.

    Nlrc 03/09/2011

Well deserved victory, if had not been crowded out on first corner in his first heat Garrity would probably have gone on to win all 5 of his races. Very close though all night with four riders on 9 points going into last round of heats and race off needed for 3rd place. Hackney boys had a poor night, particularly on one of their home tracks. Son enjoyed his chips too!!

Taking my 5 year old son tonight, he is used to team meetings rather than individual events so looking forward to seeing all four racing against each other rather than team riding. I've not got much of an idea what the riders are like at this level and reading thread has made me more excited. Son is looking forward to his massive box of chips!!

    British Grand Prix 2012

Whoo Hoo! First post and just got front row seats in upper tier by turn 4 and sorted our accomodation in the bay area Six of us went to Cardiff for first time this year and had a blast, all really excited about 2012 already and being in school hols makes it better for kids as we had to wait until school kicked out this year and took 5 hours from Essex.
