    All speedway

may be if the hierarchy in speedway was replaced by ex riders who are familiar with the every day problems with speedway and the costs involved and the promoters could reduce the entry fee , we are not a rich country and most of our supporters are on a low income and a night at speedway may be the only family night out that they get, I know that when I was a child for me, my sister & my mother it would cost 5 shillings including fish & chips but the stadia was always full, maybe they should realise that even today less could be a lot more
  2. Kings Lynn, according to my calculations, using the points used on this site are 0.66 over the limit
  3. Kasper Andersen of Kings Lynn listed in speedway star with a CMA of 5.00 not 4.00 if this is correct then the stars are 0,66 over the limit

    Scorpions 2017

According to the sheets Josh Bailey is on 3.00 and Fritz is 3.68 still makes 40.10

    Scorpions 2017

Looking at the declared team and checking the averages with the BSPA site list of CMA and it seems that the total team points add up to 40.10, unless there is a mistake in the CMA list the team will not be accepted by the powers that be. here is the list that I checked against the CMA's. if I am mistaken then I apologise Scunthorpe Scorpions Ryan Douglas 7.18 Josh Auty 7.01 Michael Palm-Toft 6.98 Lewis Kerr 5.98 Carl Wilkinson 6.12 Fritz Wallner 3.83 Josh Bailey 3.00 Max Team Points 40 Current Team Average 40.10

    Somerset 2017

why wouldn't any of the riders be ready to race in the top league, lets face it most of the 2016 Elite teams consisted mostly of 2016 Premier riders and the teams that are signing last seasons elite league riders like Rye House are going to have a very top heavy team and no team at all if, God forbid, any of their top three gets injured. as it stands I can see Somerset take a good few scalps with a slightly tweaked 2016 line up

    Somerset 2017

I believe that the 1.4 adjustment only applies to riders that rode full time in the 2016 elite league therefore Tungate will ride on his premier league average of 9.03

    Wolves 2017

with 3 points taken up by the uk reserve that leaves an average of 6.44 each for the remaining 4 riders good luck Rosco

    Somerset 2017

I wonder if we might see Chris Holder as the Somerset No1 not wanted by Poole who have gone for young Jack, I am sure that if Swindon can include Jason Doyle on a 13.41 average then Somerset could cope with Holders 12.53 assuming that Holder would like a Friday night track, and for his replacement for GP's then the new rules make it easier to get a suitable guest

    Plymouth Remain Open!

I feel that there must have been a budget problem before the start of the season. No track can hope to survive with only 450 paying spectators coming through the gates and to this end I blame a lot of the fans who say that they will attend but when the team suffer a couple of bad results then they tend to stay at home, when the team are at rock bottom that is when they need the support of the fans. Everybody was warned early last season that if the numbers through the gates did not improve then the future of Plymouth Speedway could be in doubt, now that the story has come true how many “True fans in waiting” will come out of the woodwork blaming all and sundry for the demise of the club when in actual fact their entry fee could have meant the survival of the club. The promoters of Plymouth Speedway have bent over backwards to keep speedway alive in the city, we have lost Exeter & St Austell don’t let Plymouth go the same way. Surely we could start a rescue fund, to bring our fans in hiding to the forefront and keep Plymouth Speedway alive, I would willingly start by donating £100 today who will follow my lead...............
  12. Thank God the SCB has finally seen sense and introduced an automatic suspension for riders who sustain a significant head injury in a track crash. I have, over the years, seen riders concussed after an accident and they and their Team Manager has been advised by the medical staff not to ride, yet after 3 or 4 they are out on the track again. A guideline was introduced a few years ago whereby the injured rider and his manager where given a notice that they should not take part in any meeting unless they had been examined by the track CMO prior to the meeting or produced a certificate of fitness to ride obtained from the riders GP and handed to the referee before the meeting Thank goodness for common sense

    Plymouth 2015

my apologies and I agree that British riders should be given every chance to prove that they can hold down a premier league position, but they must want to do the job in hand and not retire from the sport at the first sign of pressure. We have had, and still have some great British riders, but some of the youngsters can talk the talk but are unable to walk the walk and until they grow a pair we will only have a hand full of British riders to follow in the tyre tracks of Jessop, Louis, Loram, Carter, Collins, Morton & Woffinden

The riders that you have named are EU riders and as such do not require a visa unlike our common wealth brothers in Australia & New Zealand
