Original plan was to have Clegg at reserve on what should be an average of around two and a half however as we’d be benefiting and the other clubs who are in charge aren’t. So they have kept him out of a team place and kept his average at over 4.

AGAIN..The powers that did it to him last year as well until RG needed him then dropped him again when kemp came available..change rules to suit them at the time.the sport is ruined.and you are correct about Edinburgh he signed the contract then dropped him by text Xmas eve…thought Campbell were better than that tbh, just as bad as the rest of the little man’s club…

I've had a couple of Morgan's Spiced rums tonight but how about this for a new look team for 2024?

    1 Pickering - 8.63

    2 Roynon - 3.42

    3 Riss - 7.35

    4 Thomson - 6.48

    5 Howarth - 7.76

    6 Hodder - 2.00

    7 James - 2.00

    Total points - 37.64

*I know Roynon isn't ideal in the main body of the side but he does know Armadale well after riding for the Academy side last year and he would free up room to allow for the possibility of four heat leaders in a weaker league and seeing as Poole are tracking a couple of 2-point riders I'd be prepared to see Hodder and James given a chance at 6 and 7. After last season what is there to lose?

Max clegg @ 2.64 (roughly)should be a must have.yes he had a shocker the last couple of seasons for 1 reason or another BUT look at his NL scores for Edinburgh the end of last year.

Most fans know it should have been One League years ago. We’re getting back to the early 90’s needing Teams to move up just to save so called Premiership.

100% agree,1 league for sure, however if the rumours are correct and they want to scrap the ndl surely that’s only going to cause more damage to the sport long term,IOW,Mildenhall Kent what will happen to those clubs who definitely don’t have the infrastructure to do any other than low level racing?not to mention there are fans out there that prefer ndl racing.

In regards to the £3,000 fine that Richie had to pay (rightly or wrongly I don't care to debate)

Is this money going into the running of the sport in the country, the development of youth and facilities...

    OR

is this money being spent on the promoters p!ss up in Tenerife...

This sport is ran by complete and utter tw@ts, so I think I know the answer... But I'm open to be proven wrong...

Straight into vatchers personal account !!

If things are that dire that Scunthorpe have to move up to the top league then it’s time to admit a single “professional” division is the way to go.

Forcing clubs to operate beyond their means just to keep a TV deal and a few world class riders here really isn’t worth it.

The whole “top league” is joke anyway..how can you have the so called with a hand full of the worlds best then make it up with riders from the middle and bottom (development)leagues and call it the premiership..The powers that be are going to be the death of uk speedway end of..a great shame

fyi  I have no sympathy for any person taking illegal drugs. If you walk the walk, take the fall. But to put it into context, Rock stars perform on stage to thousands of admiring fans, then get on a coach back to their hotel. Speedway riders have not just their own lives at risk, but also their competitors. Massive difference. But I don't condone either.

It’s not just the other riders at risk, what about the drive home and all the other road users who could potentially be injured or worse..

Birmingham riding on a Monday with most of the Wolves team signing for them is my guess.

They are unable to run on Wednesdays next year due to greyhounds.

Financial suicide and that'll be them done by the end of 2024 if they see the season out

It shouldn’t be financial suicide for them really or any other of the so called “premiership/elite”teams.apart from the odd few most of the teams in both 2 leagues are made up of the same riders(in certain cases riders who are doing all 3 uk leagues). So why do they charge more to watch them and why do the riders get more money just because they’re riding in a league with a different name.unfortunately speedway is (and has been for a good while now) a joke.the powers that be are killing he sport year by year.it won’t be too long until there are only a handful of teams left running.

see what nonsense comes out of the agm this year !!

I remember Lee Richardson when he joined Poole as a raw kid. 0,0,0 virtually every week. But he showed good signs of potential like Boughen. Lee went in to have a great career. He needs time and if he is dedicated there’s no reason why he can’t emulate Bewley or Lambert. Good luck to the lad.

He’s definitely committed to being a speedway rider and has the family backing/finances to take him all the way. He’ll be with Robert and Dan in the next few years for sure.

He's fast, but he needs to learn racing and positioning around others. When you're the big fish in the small pond like he was until now, you don't need those skills. If he's the real deal, they will come.

He’s raced moto cross since he were very young,so I’m pretty sure he’s used to riding with others.

Time for riders to double up with outside jobs rather than with two clubs.

Doubling up is bad for the sport, good for the riders. Things should be done for the good of the sport.

In most other motorsports only the very elite competitors are lucky enough to race as their full time profession. Most speedway riders seem to expect a full time living from the sport even if they’re second tier, second string plodders or worse.

Try getting a job that gives a rider the time off to ride speedway, make it a weekend sport is another answer, especially for the lower league which the kids have to rely on there parents to get time off work.

gb speedway needs a huge shake up,it has done for years.until that happens it will only get worse not better .

So riders like Clegg, Kinsley, Mulford, Kingston who all started the season with NL spots or Bebee, Rathbone or Douglas who started on the sidelines rather than being able to take the place occupied by Congreve.

If there is a limited amount of heat leaders why lobby to increase the points limit (other than to accommodate Bickley and Hook).

As it happens nope not the biggest fan of the Marson situation either but just like Wood theres nothing i can do about it.

I will always admire your commitment and support of your club Blobby but as an outsider looking in my view (for the limited value it has) is that the Edinburgh academy is a distance away from where it could/should be.

clegg didn’t have a team spot in any league at the start, could be wrong but I think Kingston also had no team spot at the start.

Just as we get the good new about Josh we then get the bad news about paco. Out for a month with a dislocated shoulder and cracked humerus sustained in Italy on Sunday.

Personally wouldn’t be against signing max Clegg on a months cover can certainly score well round Armadale.

Totally agree,He scored a 15 max last week again Leicester,(all be it national league)beating the Thompson twins numerous times.

I see wolves having a bit of a gripe about the same sort of situation with Becker. Suppose slight difference being he's expected to be back this month but Kennedy most likely miss the season. Does seem a bit odd that all these decisions are made on the whim of Neil vatcher right enough

    VVVVVVVVatcher is a CCCCClown,makes rules(and changes them)as/when it suits him #jobsworth powermadidiot.lovestheglory..

I suspect Connor Bailey would do what Max Clegg did last year, sign on an 8.5ish ave & finish above 11!

Is there any other sport that you get “punished” for doing well,Max’s average in both leagues have left him with no team place for 2023.How many other British lads are going to be left out.So long as the Aussie’s are looked after that’s fine……British speedway is a joke no wonder it’s on its backside.
