    Peterborough Panthers 2023

The news of Johnson’s departure – leaving the Panthers, which is owned by Keith Chapman, without a licensed promoter – came as a bombshell just hours after they went down to their heaviest defeat of a dreadful season in which they have lost 12 of their 13 matches so far, at Leicester on Thursday night. Having finished at the bottom of the Premiership table last year, the team is heading for back-to-back wooden spoons with 11 matches left.

https://britishspeedway.co.uk/premiership/tomalin-steps-up-with-panthers/ Yes that was the plan but it fell through when Buster scuppered the planned team and the takeover collapsed.

No money because Chapman (the promoter and owner, the person who has all the financial responsibility) refuses to spend any more on Panthers than he has done already, even though he doesn't have to pay any Pedersen type money out

Yes, you are repeating your point yet again… Sigh! "I've been told I'm pretty much on the money."….ROFL. That claim has no weight at all without naming your source. I could quite easily claim that I've been told the complete opposite. (I don't want or expect you to actually name your source, just pointing out your claim basically means zero). I see that according to the Panthers website City Auction Group are still showing as sponsors so definitely some money has come in. For everyone else's sake, let's drop it now and agree to differ.

You say that Buster wanted to take a back seat, so allowed MT and Johnson to take over the team, within Busters budget, as he was paying the wages. Then you tell us… "Don't make Buster the reason the money hasn't come in as promised." What money hasn't come in as promised? You just said that Buster was paying the wages and not Tomalin. You can't have it both ways. Mikes take on the situation seems much more plausible to me and Buster is to blame for this mess And yes, you do keep posting the same old thing on this thread and quite frankly it's getting really boring and a bit childish (e.g., "spat out of his dummy)

Spot on ...... why can't more people understand this?

    Kings Lynn 2023

I understand not wanting to spend so much time at Lynn any more, I really do, there are many more important things in life than hobbies. However, if he was such a big fan wouldn't it have been possible to leave his money in the club, at least until the end of this season?

    Kings Lynn 2023

Oh so it's not just that he can't afford the time any more, he has pulled his money out as well?

Why are Lynn over budget now?

    Peterborough Panthers 2023

Look at his record since then…… Apart from one fluke every other time Lynn and Panthers have filled the bottom two places. 2019 (7 teams) 6 King's Lynn 7 Peterborough 2020 COVID 2021 (6 teams) 1 Peterborough 6 King's Lynn 2022 (6 teams) 5 King's Lynn 6 Peterborough 2023 (7 teams) 6 King's Lynn 7 Peterborough

    Peterborough Panthers 2023

oh you mean the announcement before Buster vetoed Tomalin's plans? Yes? If I was supposed to be charge of team funding this year and Buster wrecked my plans, then I would definitely cut my financial investment way back just like he has done

    Ipswich 2023

Just what do you expect of Danny King? His GSA has increased from 6.41 to 6.79. The problem with the Witches team lies elsewhere, namely……. 1) not adequately replacing Riss. 2) the form of your RS

    Peterborough Panthers 2023

As has already been said on this thread, Alex Brady is in charge of all the finances at Lynn and he has obviously paid to do deal for Laguta. However , at Peterborough the finances and control remain firmly in the hands of Chapman, who is clearly working on a much lower budget. You can see this by the fact that we are having trouble affording Tungate, never mind somebody like Laguta

    Peterborough Panthers 2023

It's not really strange when you take into account that Brady is in charge of the finances at Kings Lynn, whereas unfortunately at Peterborough it's still Chapman.

Agreed, Buster has a lot to answer for.

    Peterborough Panthers 2023

The tweet was picked up by a Polish website who ran a little story about the signings. https://bestspeedwaytv.pl/artiom-laguta-i-wadim-tarasienko-beda-na-wyspach/ Accuracy doesn't seem to be a strong point in their journalism based on this paragraph…… "Vadim Tarasenko, in turn, is to join the Peterborough Panthers. Let us remind you that "Panthers" lost at the beginning of the season Nicki Pedersen, who very quickly gave up riding in the UK. The current leader of the band is Dan Bewley."……….!!!. …… Or maybe Bewley to Panthers and the Aces signing someone else??…… ROFL. Seriously, I did a search for Laguta news items in the last week and that was the only one I found mentioning him riding in the UK. I find that rather strange

Buster likes to run things on the cheap, he might quite like that idea!

    Ipswich 2023

That's the second time you've got personal. Isn't it etiquette to attack the post and not the poster? Anyway, despite thinking there is no chance of it happening I would actually have liked Ipswich to sign Emil as it would be great to have a rider of his undoubted ability riding in Britain. Now I hope the deal falls through, so this post comes back to bite you.

    Peterborough Panthers 2023

Andersen will probably be in the team but he's certainly not confirmed in that press release. In fact, reading it carefully means his place is still open to doubt….That's if you believe it, of course. It says at least four new faces which could mean five (or even more), so that means no more than three retained from last year. Basso and Jenkins are two confirmed and Andersen would be the third if there are four new faces, but out of the team if there are more.
