We will need to return to our form Pre- August for us to have an edge over Sheffield, but things can change very quickly as we all know.

As expected result but the lack of fight from us tonight was more worrying than the actual result Richie apart we were woeful . Newcastle were streets ahead in every department when it mattered, there is just something not right about the team at the minute what it is only they know but there was no urgency when we didn't gate which was all the heats Richie wasn't in. Doubtful trying to get teams to commit to a date has been problematic.

The average has to go up it cannot stay in it's diluted state that it is currently in , Ideally it should be a 45pt limit but 42.5 would at least mean the league isn't diminished anymore in terms of quality. Averages really should only be used for team positions and a rider draft should be used to build teams, the current system is prohibitive in building and keeping a team that any particular promotion would want.

We are fast becoming the team that are experts at snatching defeat from the jaws of victory , Nike in heat 8 was a turning point hope nothing too serious but heats 11 & 12 were deciding factors also as you say with the reserves. Our rivals are winning consistently away from home and gathering momentum whilst we have managed to toss wins away at Workington & now tonight simply put we are just not good enough to win this league as it stands.
