Sorry can't post link, but witches announced final dates as next Monday 14th home/wolves and Thursday 17th home/Swindon

You have just got to hope that the semi has been run by then, this Wed and Thurs look ok but with the weather being changeable who can tell.  Hope they are able to take place.

Generally I've looked at BBC Weather Web site before travelling to away meetings. Following a forum discussion a few months ago I added XC Weather and found this to be a very good indicator of predicted and actual rain fall. From a Wolves viewpoint I've always felt the Abbey has its own eco-system!!! Sunshine at Birdlip doesn't mean it's dry in Blunsdon etc. What's the view of fans local to the track?

You are right about the location, before now it has been raining in Swindon but Blunsdon has been dry and the opposite has also happened.  Presumably BT would already have been setting up and a tweet about an hour ago stated all systems go, so will wear a few jumpers against the cold and waterproofs just in case of showers.

Unfortunately its the attitude of a lot of young riders who simply believe they are better than they are and simply have no idea how to adapt to track conditions

They couldnt handle it at Poole early on and they certainly couldnt adapt to Foxhall and Holders actions were disgraceful...................still im suprised the amazing old man Muddlo couldnt motivate them

They both seem to believe thay are the next Chris Holder or Darcy Ward.......at the moment they arent even the next Troy Batchelor................and Max Fricke has left them miles behind

Nothing wrong with Batch the last couple of years Gavan.

Mark Lemon wants Kurtz at Belle Vue alongside Fricke. Somerset want him back there too. He's always lived at Middlo's but who knows. As for Poole's main sponsor the eagle-eyed amongst will have seen their logo reappear on the website and the programme cover as I gather monies have changed hands. Also with the advent ofEurosport money on the horizon i'm told the club is no longer proactively up for sale.

Was that the carpet cleaners as noticed their logo on the pits boards at Poole during the first leg.

Glad this has been arranged as I'm golfing (or sailing!) at Celtic Manor for a couple of days tomorrow and Tuesday and was wondering whether they would bother putting the speedway on when there is a big footy match on.

Looking at the forecast of gales and a hurricane hitting the UK in the next few days do not forget to take a wet suit with you, have fun

When is Kurtz unreliable? Does he miss meetings?

does not miss meetings or pull out with a mythical injury but is inconsistent in meetings  and would no doubt want to ride in Poland if they had a meeting or practice on one of our race nights.

Trouble is, we don’t know if there’ll be two leagues or one league and what the team building limit will be.

If it’s one league and a 38 point limit we’ll be lucky to have Jensen and Ellis!

If that is the team limit and TR  wants Jason in the team other parts of the team will be weak, unless Rosco can find a couple of ringers.

Its just Swindon's turn this time mate - it happens to most successful teams sooner or later!!:D

Then good riders either ride for another team or give up and only ride abroad, fans lose interest, even the young ones who have built up an affinity with a certain rider, and less attend the meetings yet the bspa still wonder why clubs are suffering financially.

  9. Some of the riders should have eased off once we reached 49 points in any meeting, providing the management knew what they were doing and still paid them.  It is annoying when the team does well and we have to lose good riders.  This has happened in the past with Batch and Kildemand increasing their averages then getting dropped the following season.

    Only till 1st October.

    lambert 7.81

    Cook 7.78

in fact only Fricke, Doyle and Batchelor have averages over 8 from October.

With the team average of 46.3 from Oct 1 and with two riders over 8 points, if the limit stays at 42.5 or gets reduced and the one rider over 8 rule stays Swindon are going to have to get rid of a few good riders.
