Don't think it is negativity as such - more a frustration. He has a good talent , decent speed and big balls - not too bad a combination for a speedway rider I think his issue is possibly physical limitations as opposed to skill. I believe he suffers significant 'arm pump' which has caused the difficulties in the latter stages of meetings/races He did a really good job stepping into a difficult position with a significant proportion of meetings not only outside the RS spot for the first time but actually in the main body of the team His average is a decent achievement in those circumstances Yes it could be argued he dropped important points but remember he could only drop those because he got in the position in the first place. Many in and around his level wouldn't have had that chance to 'mess up' Danyon took some commendable scalps and overall more than did the job asked of him

If he is going to be 'the real deal' I would expect he would be putting in performances of note in the Prem by the end of this season Most riders that reach the very top would be top league ready inside 3 years

Think the club that holds the rider registration has first call. If not offering a place then I believe you are correct Having said that it is pretty much a free for all whatever the rules - politics and finance override the regs......

I think the "in the best interests" regulation needs to be invoked Everywhere we went with Emil in tow meant the home track attracted an extra 100-200 on the gate That's quite a big boost so to ensure the benefit continues he should be reassessed to 8

Those going on about the cost need to get some perspective in the scheme of what it takes to put team together for a season That £1k price being quoted is probably about the equivalent of 1 ride in 1 meeting to cover the likes of Emil Doyle Bewley Holder etc... Even lower down its likely not even the cost of 1 meeting for a Championship heat leader It really is irrelevant in the big picture

Sheffield booked the tiny No1 room with no sea view for £200 per night but at the last minute we're allowed to switch to the Robert Lambert penthouse suite (amazing reassessed at just £175 per night)
