I've always supported Lambert in the past, but tonight be confirmed what a jumped up little twonk he is. "The track was a joke" "I've already had a word with the referee about Thursday." I'm pigged off with these end of season mercenaries turning up for a big end of season pay day, who probably end up with a league winners medal, but don't give a chuff about British speedway. If you can't be arsed to commit to a full season riding over here, don't bother to turn up for a couldn't give a sh*t which team I ride for, for the last two weeks of the season, big bonus.

I Thought Lambert joined Kings Lynn. the only think you pick up there is a wooden spoon

But that's the problem, there is no other sport like speedway when it comes to guests, i have asked a couple of times on here this week what the solution to guests is, the only answer i have had is have a squad, we all know that is not possible in British speedway

    So what is the solution?

This is the point. People moan and Groan but when asked can't come up with a better solution. Ive seen  people's  squad ideas and none of them make no sense or have any  understanding   of the cost of it. . Easy to moan from the sidelines a lot harder when you are in the hot seat

To me it seems he is so desperate for Sheffield to win he is trying to make out that Harris will have a bad night which will gift Ipswich the title whereas in reality all known previous form suggests otherwise.

Why would I want Sheff  to win.? Just a pure neutral looking to see a decent final ..I have opinion that Harris won't score that many this time based upon the opposition he's against, nothing more nothing less.No idea what the big uproar and drama is about expressing that view

Orion give it up you’ve had an absolute mare. You had no idea Harris has been so good at Ipswich. “If he scores more than 7 are be amazed” whatever that means, is a terrible shout considering he’s scored more than that in every visit there for the last few years as Arch has shown. “Harris is unlikely to beat Doyle or Emil or even King” is another corker considering he beat Emil on his way to paid 14 on his last visit whilst also beating King twice in the same meeting.  Someone stick a fork in the forum jester he’s done.

i am fully aware on how well Harris done at Ipswich in the ;past . are explain to you again very slowly because quite clearly its very hard for you to take in .  ive  looked  at the rides that Harris has on Monday and don't see him scoreng that many points  for a number of reasons . What he's score before does not make that opinion wrong or right .its just my opinion . as for beating Emil he was in the same heats as him twice last week as was  way behind him both times

We shall see who is right on Monday night simple as that

Christ you don’t half talk some boll0cks! You’ve been made to look a pillock because you didn’t do any basic research on Harris’s performances at Ipswich before coming out with your crock of sh!te. At least be man enough to own it.

The meeting has  not even been run yet has it  lol ... How can  it be a crock of rubbishe if the meeting not even been run yet  lol  As i have explained i have  based my logic on the meeting in hand the rides h'es got and who he is racing against and the fact that its is Final . if you had a brain cell the logic is quite easy to follow .

As i said if  am wrong i will own it .. Lets hope you can do the same but i doubt it .

LOL of course it’ll have been a lucky punt if he scores your “5 to 7 at most” because he hasn’t hit that low a figure in his last 7 visits there over the last two years! Those are simply statistical facts. Now put your fishing rod away there’s a good lad.

This is final ..  .. and its based on this meeting nor what he done in other  meetings  not hard to follow   .. so as i said it wont be lucky  guess  if aim right its based on logic . All your trying to do is to cover yourself because your scared of  being wrong ..

Now be a good lad  find your balls and stick  to your opinion .

Of course there’s a chance Harris has a stinker but all that will prove is Orion got very lucky with his prediction. Over the last two season’s, Harris’ scores at Foxhall have been 11+1, 9+1, 14+1, 14+1, 8+1, 12+2 and 10+3 so there’s absolutely nothing in the recent past to suggest Harris will score “between 5 and 7 at best”. I hope he’s right though!!

Don't be a wimp and try to cover yourself in case your wrong  .  . Nothing lucky if im right he's against tough oppo in all his heats in a final no matter what his foxhall record is . He wont have to have  a stinker to score  7 it would be what i  would expect .  Heats 13 and 15 will be Gp standard with people giving 100 %

One thing for sure if im wrong are come back and admit it  i wont need to  cover myself or make excuses .

I understand your point, but Smith can only guest against Belle Vue because they've deemed him not good enough to ride for them?

He's surplus to requirements as Belle Vue (correctly) believe Bailey to be stronger, so on theory shouldn't scire any points, if they lost out - need to blame themselves for not riding well enough, that's my view anyway.

    Spot on

I would suggest it has quite a lot do with the way the sport is, and has been, ran..

Ice Hockey crowds as an example of a "small sport", averaged over 3100 a match last season..

    Sheffield almost 7000..

A similar 3100 average crowd for Speedway and each meeting would generate £65k to £70k or so...

If landlords had been getting £20k a night in rent, say 20 times a year, then I would suggest a lot more would have kept the sport at their venue..

As many mention on here, a lot of fans now go simply to watch the racing, rather than bother about the result too much, as, win or lose, you cannot help come away feeling many events are contrived in either a small way, or unfortunately at times, a much bigger way...

Big sponsors too will never be engaged to join in if one of their riders are allowed to help a business rival"s team try to win the title, and, at the same time, reduce his own teams chances..

The play offs get "decent crowds" as so many "Speedway Fans" come out of the woodwork to watch them, however, many of these fans who will attend the play offs, wont regularly attend the weekly meetings at their local track, due to that unavoidable feeling that lots of those meetings do, more times than they should, feel "a bit Mickey Mouse"...

The big positive though, which should be taken on board, is that the sport can still attract "decent crowds", on these occasions...

They just need to find a way to get these people there more regularly..

And "if" the operating model is part of the problem, then a) find out the truth of if it is or not, and b) if so, change it..

Crowds were massive in the old days but that never stop clubs like Leicester Cradley and many others being knock down for redevelopment.  .Swindon were one of best supported teams in the league but were still kick out so they try to build on the site .Rent is chicken feed to what you can make by building houses
