With teams dropping like flies all 3 leagues must be close to being untenable.

Agree totally. The play off ship sailed long ago. Unfortunately when we signed Doyle and Sayfuitinov and then got the rest, it's been a bit like buying a top of the range Bentley but then running it on paraffin!

Scott Nicholls is 45 and certainly didn't look stale with Sheffield at foxhall the other week. Mind you what a sad sight the the once great Hans was trying to get round the track.

Lack of riders available usually means lack of dates. British Speedway is a bit like trying to persuade someone they can drive from London to Glasgow on a tenner!

Lots of comments and quite frankly speculation. However it was clear the track was far from perfect. However, I suspect with the average changes that changes will be made and will be made where and when certain targets are willing and available. Until then the rest as I say is speculation!

I see Americans mentioned in this thread and without starting another, can someone explain why we don't seem to get riders from there anymore? Surely there must be a number of youngsters who are promising?

Historically afternoon tracks tend to produce poor racing at foxhall, hopefully a bit of cloud cover without the rain might help.

I ve said before and others probably as well lack of riders will kill the sport before lack of tracks. How does up and coming little jonny afford thousands of pounds for a set up in a sport where in likelihood he won't make it?

I don't see the issue of letting people in on p and p day as it would officially be classed as a meeting. After all its not as if we run 30 odd meetings a season like we did in years gone by.

Does anyone know what day press and practice is? I know they don't officially advertise it but presumably people just turn up and walk in like in previous years.

The hand may have been forced by the polish announcement. However, presumably home office clearance would surely have been agreed beforehand. Or at least discussions with the home office regarding a visa and or work permit.

If Pedersen ends up at Peterborough then I would imagine the opening night at foxhall could see a bumper crowd.

I suspect the management have all parts of their anatomy crossed at this time hoping that any deal they have lined up goes through otherwise duff and duffer could be a shoe in. Looking at an Ipswich related page on another platform, my god have we had an unfair share of duds over the past couple of decades.

Are we to assume then that if the management don't get the riders that we think they might be after then do we end up with duff and duffer again whoever they may be?
