  1. Wouldn't that mean 25% are not slick?
  2. There is only a certain number of entries GB can enter, it isn't you're under 21 you can enter. NZ we have only 1 spot, and that's all we deserve at present, but all the costs involved getting from NZ to one event are up to the rider and their family, There is a contribution made by SNZ but it is small in the overall cost. And if he should get through to the next round, then that becomes another logistics nightmare, does he stay and not be able to work while he waits or returns home back to a job only to pay all the costs again in a months time. It's tough, but if you want it bad enough you find a way.

A 250 everything is in the right place the right size and shape, the transition to a 500 is easy. A 250 is so much easier to ride than a 125. There's a 250 for sale in the for sale thread, when he's ready for a 500, just sell the engine, you'll get your money back there's so few of them

But thats because you didnt want foriegn riders in the National League so now the PL is their entry level. If you had 1 or 2 foreign riders in National league then perhaps the Tims and other Top British National league riders would have places to go to in the PL.

  10. And you don't think that the airlines or the freight companies are giving them a better deal. Remember everything Bill Buckley makes is exported around the world. I'm sure he for one has contacts. Maybe Emirates will become a future sponsor. Or even Air New Zealand
  11. They are going to the otherside of the world and back anyway, it's a round the world trip with a couple of stopovers, not 3 trips there and back each time.dearer than than the one NZGP and back but cheaper per GP if you divide the costs by 3
  12. Obviously the costs were great in holding this as a one off GP on the otherside of the world, but if BSI/IMG plan of expanding the GP to OZ and the US come to fruition then costs go down. Freighting gear on a round trip basis for one. BSI/IMG surely look at profit over a whole series, obviously losses are taken seriously, but if it improves the overall experience and perception as a global sport, then i think sometimes you have to spend more to make money. As for Bill Buckley his costs are working on a 3 year plan, next year his costs should halve as the track material, air fence, and infer-structure have all been purchased
  13. Thats great, was hard to find any results and these did look odd with 2 riders on 15 and some with 4 rides and some with 5. taken from http://speedwayzone.myblog.it/ perhaps someone can put up the correct final results

I saw you there Dave when you were walking through the pits, I was just getting all the riders signatures for their completed bike checks and I was going to comeback and say hi. You must've turned sideways as I lost you after that. First junior will be there in June
  17. IMG are media giants, it's tv rights and advertising that pay their bills Monster are huge worldwide as are Buckley systems

You dont know what you're talking about. We've just put on one of the most positive SGP's doing it from scratch with no previous experience us or the media. And all you want to do is nit pic. We know what went right and the very few things that need improving. give us a break.

https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.390023497684179.95714.100000295966552&type=1 We've all had a great week, we got most of it right, a couple of things to improve on Think BSI/IMG were happy, FIM were happy. I think locally it has boosted speedway's profile. It think it opened a lot of peoples eyes here, on how professional and good you have to be at the top. Hopefully it introduces a few new kids and parents to give it a try think I saw 4 races from behind the mechanics and riders heads, the rest I had to watch from the TV monitors in the pits. So looking forward to watching the full replay on tv tonight. Got to go out in the cars for the parade, was great to see Western Springs terraces full, Next year I'm guessing the grass banks will be full too.
