  1. How do you know that those people would visit a track, could visit a track and would continue to do so when they see the state of most stadiums and the lack of spectators? Then there are the "let's just see what this is" viewers.

    Scunny 2013

Well done Scunthorpe for bringing on a good BRITISH prospect.
  3. I should add that I listen to phone-ins on other stations quite frequently and don't have the same problems with them.
  4. It's just the telephone guests for me, and it always has been, my internet speed is well adequate for live sports and videos.
  5. It was very good! What I could hear of it, the sound quality was as bad as ever.

I believe Danny is going well in the grass and long track scene (almost all on Sundays).

    Speedway Betting 2013

I wouldn't have put Peterborough that high, crap team and they don't deserve any success after crapping all over the sport for the last two winters.

Would Allot get any reduction for having a year out?

    Coventry 2013

No, I mean that a number of them have reached their level.

Agree! Too many career NL riders.

    Uk Speedway Series

Do you seriously think that any of them would be a priority for whoever is doing the selecting?

    Heat Shields

I saw one on Andy Smiths site, do you reckon they will stand up to any knocks?

    Once A Jolly Swagman

And that it became extremely boring, as every episode was just the same.

    Get his name right!......sheesh!

Watch for Compo pulling his scarf up at the starting gate.

    Once A Jolly Swagman

As I remember it, the film was really giving an anti-speedway message. It was interesting to see old races, but other than that it wasn't a pleasant film.

    Wouldn't Charles Wright fit?

Gary Irving has retired. It's in the news section of Speedway Star site.

    Electric Speedway

I heard an interview with Egon which seemed to suggest that it wasn't a problem, he also said that they had some much more powerful ones now which would even be suitable for longtracks.

    Electric Speedway

I would probably rather have electric Speedway in accessible places where locals can reach on foot or by public transport, than the current trend of opening tracks in the middle of nowhere. It's certainly worth experimenting with, even if it comes to nothing.

Crump? That certainly would be a coup. I would rather it was confined to riders who already ride here to be honest.

    The Start Of The Decline

True, but if you were then using that engine at a higher level you would probably still be paying tuning costs to keep it competitive at the higher level. It would work though, after a bit of testing and so on (I wonder how the current rev limiter tests are going, anyone hear anything?).

    The Start Of The Decline

The only problem with that (that I can see) is that riders switching between different levels, would actually need more equipment than now. I think a lower formula would need to be run independently from what ever was classed as above it.

    The Start Of The Decline

So a rider doesn't ride here, he is offered a place shared with another rider who doesn't ride here, they both decide to take it as it means more meetings, but not too many more to not be feasible in their busy schedule......And you say "they want twice the money"! Sorry, I don't understand the logic of that. It doesn't really affect riders already here, with the possible exception of Ward and Holder and I couldn't see Poole paying them each what they now get, for half the meetings.Anyway, it's all still just theory. You're not being "nasty", you are quite right and fully entitled to express your opinion. My own opinion is, I wish we would go it alone, I'm sick of every team being full of foreigners and sick of a Grand Prix system where some of the riders are selected on political grounds rather than ability, and where one country has three rounds. I doubt I will make myself popular with that opinion but never mind.
