Hancock And Gollob When Will They Retire ?

Both Greg and Tomasz have a lot to offer the GP scene. The one thing that constantly niggles me, is both are referred to by their ages by the commentators, oldest men in the field etc etc. The constant how much longer can you go on is being disrespectful to both who remain world class speedway riders.Yes they're not getting the results like before but irrespective of age they are more than worthy of remaining in the series. Greg and Tomasz may well go out over the next couple of years,so lets enjoy them whilst they're still around.

    Rosco Joins The Aussies!

My personal opinion is there is talent coming through in this country with the likes of Craig Cook,Richie Worrall already starting to step up after a short time.I think in five years time or so we will be competitive with Tai leading the way.The other leading countries youth policies are all kicking in now,the Poles were nowhere years ago,the Danes and Swedes have the Junior leagues, that's where we've got to improve with the grass roots support,so as I said I think our young Brits are doing brilliant considering! And who knows in five years time,Rosco may well be leading the helm.

    Rye House V Ipswich 1/4/13 2pm

Travelled up from Oxford, with the missus and kids, for this meeting today,as we were all desperate for some live action on a cold but dry day.Yes it took nearly four hours to get through, with some horrific crashes, put down to racers doing what they do best, racing and having a go.Probably some were a bit rusty and over eager, but for what it's worth we still enjoyed the day.I was particularly keen to see how the young Brits faired and having watched Tyson flat out around Oxford, was eager to see how he attacks the circuit. So to summarise on that,Jason Garrity looks the part,Simon Lambert was having a real go when he came a purler, but looked competitive and for the Ipswich fans I saw enough of Adam Ellis to see it's all there.Don't forget he was leading heat 2 when he fell.As for Tyson,he will keep on improving,a pure racer who loves a battle, great to watch.Think Rye and Ipswich can both feature at the right end of the table,so for me I enjoyed it and of course hope all three injured riders recover as quickly as possible. We'll be back!

    Champions League No Go

Yep,always is/was going to be difficult to organise, unlike football where you can only represent one team in Europe, riders riding for multi teams will always lose credibility.
