nicol, kennedy and macdonald are all Sheffield assets, broc would be a better shout and at least with zaine and chunk theres room for improvement, I personally don't see all the hype over todd hes always been a decent second string at 2nd tier level nothing more never improved beyond that, would sooner take stewart, berge, nicol, pickering, starke, ayres, who are all around the same average.

I do hope its either broc or chas wright, I think with the announcement of nicki that one or two might fancy a spell at owlerton alongside him, so could be a better signing for us than just a number one.

    Sheffield 2020

well done tigers on getting us a genuine number 1 who will be one of the top 3 riders in the league, shows we are not in it to make up the numbers. there does seem to be a lot of animosity and negative comments towards nicki`s signing, but im sure there isn't a fan on here who wouldn't like him in their side. and I neither love him or hate him.

with Swindon having to lose a rider what about tobias musielak??? we could track b.kurtz k.howarth j.grajzonek t.musielak c.holder r.douglas b.nicol or m.vaculik k.howarth j.grajzonek j.allen/k.huckenbeck b.kurtz r.douglas b.nicol I would be more than happy with either of those sides.

theres only the home straight with low elevation.3rd/4th bend is best view IMO, great view of all the track and enough elevation.

as for whether we will take any of last seasons tigers into the top league, danny king - mr Ipswich, will be surprised if he rides for anyone other than the witches in the prem. drew kemp - again an Ipswich asset, so cant see drew coming back either, plus he would struggle in the prem. ty proctor - looked like a novice at times round owlerton not the big hitter he should have been, cant see him figuring. Justin sedgmen - short term signing, championship rider at best, don't think he will be on our radar. kasper Andersen - not sure we would use him either, would only be reserve, unsure if hes a kings lynn asset too. POSSIBLES AND PROBABLES todd kurtz - personally I wouldn't consider him, but a favourite of the drillerman, could be a favourite for a reserve berth. kyle Howarth - im sure we all would love the skipper back, would be a 2nd string, but likely to hit double figures at home, could be a trump card for us in the top league. broc nicol - amidst rumours of KL/wolves, could do a tremendous job at reserve for us and is only going to improve ,and with our outlay on him I hope he shows the tigers management some loyalty. zaine kennedy - the all action hero of the terraces, would struggle in the top league, but worthy of consideration for a reserve berth as only going to improve, a doubling up deal would be ideal.(scunny are you listening) josh macdonald - another to maybe consider for a reserve berth, but like zaine, I reckon he could struggle and would need a doubling up role,be nice to keep hold of him as an asset. that could be 3 of these to fill team places, leaving 4 spaces to finish team building, reckon the poole riders, brady kurtz, josh graj, would fit the bill for any tigers follower, would not be surprised to see any of klindt, Charles wright, jake allen, richard Lawson, chris holder, but reckon a dark horse signing given steadys connections with him could be martin vaculik, as mentioned previously someone says injury prone, but he did ride every GP last season

I like the look of that team if the averages fit with broc and zaine/chunk down at reserve.

the only kurtz I would have would be brady if we were to go into the premiership.

    who`s doing that?

    Sheffield 2020

it baffles me that the current management have said that kurtz would be the first name on their list if they are still running the show, the first 3 names should be a shoe-in, no matter what the points limit is, and those for me are broc, chunk, and zaine. if we retain the 38 pt limit(which I hope we don't) 1. Richard lawson 2. macdonald 3. jake allen 4. nicol 5. howarth 6. kennedy 7. Nathan stoneman if its raised to 41 pt limit replace Stoneman with either connor mountain or Stefan Nielsen. however I do fear that kyle might want to move on, but we will have to see what the conference brings.

cant remember, they swap riders about like theyre going out of fashion, its nice that fans of other clubs come on here and persecute Sheffield for making changes, when their team has made more changes than the tigers.

if kent would have moved up when they had the chance, we wouldn't be talking about this topic would we......or maybe kent might have released him too during the season.

as much as I like to see british riders with team spots, I can see the reasons for this change. ok, the play offs have all but passed us by, so maybe with the tracks left to visit, this change gives us a better chance I reckon, broc is our asset so why not use our own riders, as he wasn't our own rider, we were only helping drews experience as a rider for Ipswich. to mention dropping macdonald or kennedy instead is utter rubbish as they are our own riders, I would imagine these 2 along with broc will form the basis of the side next season, yes its a bit harsh on drew, but that is professional sport.

    Sheffield 2019

i cant see the management making quick changes for the sake of it and lets face it, who is out there that we can pick up due to this seasons points structure(campton the only name that springs to mind) the heat leaders are not dominating races at home like they should be doing, but then this is probably down to the slickness of the track, maybe get em all on the bike at the entrance to improve their gating. the ones under pressure for me are kasper and ty, looking at all 7 riders, drew, zaine and broc should be allowed to improve at their own pace, and lets not forget that 5 of the 7 are doubling up with other teams along with any foreign commitments, which begs the question, do they have Sheffield interests at heart or is it looked upon as just another job and pay packet, the doubling up/down rule is making a mockery of the sport. with the way the leagues are set up now with the play off structure,we have plenty of time left to make the top 4 and then you take it from there,so no need for rash decisions this early.

    Scunthorpe 2019

surprised that they have gone for danny ayres though, might find it hard riding in the main team and not what you would call "one for the future" thought josh mc Donald might have been a better shout. glad to see a british guy getting a place though.

    Sheffield Vs Scunthorpe CS 31/03/2019

not too excessive, but when its cold in early season and late season it gets a bit when there has already been delays between races,i cannot see why we have an interval and if so why have it so late in the meeting, the opposing number 2 has already had his allotted rides,so could be halfway home when heat 16 is finishing. also the tannoy system was better on the 3rd/4th bends for the first meeting but for the scunny fixture was back to last seasons fayre, this only applies to the roving mic. p.s. scunny don't have an interval, just a speedy presentation.

    Sheffield 2019

very happy with this line up, i think we will be entertained at home this season with these guys, play off spot beckons for us.... but.... we have 3 top heat leaders that will score points home and away, kasper, who could prove the trump card in this league and add 2 pts onto his average, then we have 3 guys who we should not heap to much pressure on, drew - should also add 2 pts maybe upto 3 at least on his average, broc - showed last season that he can ride, but suffered machine problems after a good start, capable of adding a full point on his starting average. zaine - most first year aussies return an average of between 4-5, I would be happy with this figure. question is - who will ride at number 2? personally I would go for broc, if only to allow zaine time to settle in through the easier reserve berth. as injuries play a big part in this sport now, if these guys can stay injury free we are in for one hell of a ride come the end of the season.

bwd and Zach waj to complete what will look a good team for you.

    Sheffield 2019

I reckon that could be the team, and would be quite happy to go with that 7,dimi berge has been mentioned by a few and I for one would love to see him back at Sheffield but he has signed to ride in Poland,so I reckon we would be out of his plans more than him out of ours.
