Nicki Pedersen?

Natalie is great. But I get the feeling she is trying to flog a dead horse attempting to entice Nicholls to stray from the utterly banal and bleeping obvious. She is very professional in not allowing her frustration to show in that respect, unlike Perry who occasionally does. Pearson reminds me of a rather poor version of Murray Walker. His brain and mouth don't seem to be in complete synch. Tatum tries to play the James Hunt role apart from the hollering. And this thing with deliberately using the stock phrases is well past it's sellby date.

The new averages will give Leicester just over 1 point extra for rider changes. So a 7-pointer for Garrity is possible. Or a 6.14 -pointer for Bjerre. But who could be available? Especially with all the Saturday home fixtures in August.
-
How very careless. Somebody has clearly slipped up with the averages engineering.

The future could be ginger

Gordon Kennett would be better than Edward. With what is available now, team changes are more like musical chairs for the sake of it. If Edward Kennett was chopped because he was struggling away from Rye House, why sign him? And as somebody has said, Garrity will probably be fit again before the August fixtures come along. Scaphoids are notoriously tricky though

It would be no surprise to me if young Mr Gomolski shows up again on the south coast before long.

How likely was Hans Andersen's mechanical failure caused by the condition of the track? -
It was during the British final on Monday when I saw something which almost caused me to regurgitate my beer. Mr Grajonek who I gather was assisting a rider as part of his pits crew, sauntered out onto the track wearing a pair of flip flops on his feet. Where did he think he was? Bondi bloody beach surfers convention or somewhere? Why the blazes wasn't he wearing a pair of good sturdy, manly boots. Why wasn't he made to don something more appropriate.

Footwear In The Pits

It sums up the state of the country for me. We've been taken over by flip-flop wearing antipodeans or faux Australian surfers and bloody lefty metropolitan liberals. Wouldn't surprise me to see that Grajonek walking out the pits wearing pink flip-flops, mini skirt and toe nails painted bright red next time. It's not hard to figure out why Muslims see this country as a soft target to take over, which will happen soon the way things are going. -

If my vehicle breaks down and I have to use a call out mechanic, do I want some Australian bum wearing girlie flip flops to turn up? I'd tell him ( or her) to put on some proper footwear. Otherwise my stoutly booted foot would "accidentally" tread on one of his. -

It's not so much the safety thing, more revulsion at seeing a bloke wearing a little pair of girlie shoes. You don't find on duty soldiers going round wearing prissy little pairs of flip flops. Man up, Grajonek and other flip floppers, let's keep standards up. -
I make it there's only 0.46 left to play with. So not likely you will have a new rider being brought in from outside the Uk. What would Ben Barker's average be?

Well at least it gives more choice for the R/R for Garrity. Which will probably be needed quite regularly -
Who would he replace? Theres a gaping gap between Leicester and the rest of the league under these new averages. Is Newman the signing to bridge it - or have Leicester decided to just put a sticking plaster on and settle for 8th place? Sounds to me like they've decided not to bring in a new rider from outside UK and bolster the side ahead of a relegation playoff. Which, if it's versus Ipswich, should be interesting.....

Some mistake here, surely. This thread should be in the Championship section of the Forum -
Do Riders 'manipulate' Their Averages To Get A Ride?
Hamish McRaker replied to Gresham's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
In that case, there should be a discount from the riders average applying where a team keeps a rider from one season to the next. If he then moves mid-season or takes on a new doubleup position, the discount should be added-on to what his average is at that time. -

Said this many times, speedway needs to follow the road taken by darts, snooker, boxing by getting riders to have nicknames - not the boring predictable type but put a bit of thought into it. Secondly, there arn't enough villains who can get the crowd fired up and booing. It's all got far too nice. -

I bet the price increase has been dictated by the landlord now taking a cut from the catering sales. Into Mr Hemsley's pocket I suspect - but i'm sure he'd use it to help pay whats owed to his creditors. -

I hear most people in Leicester already talk with their feet. -
Is it too late now for Leicester and Sheffield to swop leagues?

Bring back the Hemsleys. Shouldn't have changed the track it's been made far too friendly for away teams. -
Sounds like they're getting bigger

It's easy to get them mixed up.
