Any weather updates aswell ? Cheers
The BSN Series had T/S rides last season. Plymouth used one at Poole and vice-versa at Plymouth.

Thought it was a SCB decision, not BSPL!?

SCB now grant a 28-day guest facility to Plymouth to cover Covatti's absence,

It was also stated either by Mark Philips or Gary May in interview that Covattis injuries were not in plaster casts!!!

Taking up bends 3 and 4 and putting down some aggregate which needs time and sunshine to bed in.

I cancelled a week in mates cottage from Thursday for a week on basis of forecast down there next 10 days last weekend.
Off to Portugal tomorrow.
Plymouth rain off won't be because of this week it'll be past 3 months.
Hopefully they can sign someone for a month as they seem confident Covatti will be back on early May.
We'll done them for not paying 4 figure sums especially after Crump did them over big time
Just back from Portugal today. It was cool and raining when I left with similar forecast for Easter!! Enjoy.

According to Plymouth owner Mark Philips in his p&p interview (available on fb etc), the club has til Wednesday - 72 hours before their first fixture - to make a signing in order to take their place in the League!!!

Whatever! The point being that the vast majority of Championship promotions voted for the lower limit so the BSPL Board members had to go with the majority and clubs will just have to get on with it.
If you want to accuse a BSPL Management Board Director of lying, that's down to you!!
Anyway moving on...I assume from the Plymouth Management video comments from p&p day, that Saturdays meeting may well be off as the track is not yet raceable?? (Ps that's a question, not a statement.)

I guess you'ld know all about them Lewy!
That's exactly what I was told, face to face, when renewing our sponsorship deal!!

I personally think a team starting a season with only 6 riders and say having to use an NDL guest to cover it completes strips away any ‘credibility’ the sport has.
I feel the sport has spent a lot of time (Mainly Phil Morris) trying to restore some sort of credibility and excitement to British Speedway recently and I don’t think it’s good for the sport to put a club in a potentially untenable position moving forward.
Promoting a speedway team and making it work in this day and age seems a tough gig at the best of times and the sport has often cut its nose off to spite its face in recent years, I feel this is potentially one of those times and I’d be really disappointed if Plymouth struggled financially or otherwise due to this.
Phil Morris is only responsible to/for the Premiership, as CEO.
As far as the Championship teams are concerned only Glasgow and Poole voted against the reduction to 38 points.

8 hours ago, szkocjasid said:Technically promoters have a right to suggest that, as riders should score more points than last season (without improving), due to a weaker league.
If every promoter did it, it could work, but we know that'll never happen.
So every team is 'weaker', so 'riders should score more points'???
If only admission prices were based purely on rider points!!

Yes, still cheaper than most!

Not much home track advantage then Lewy for the first few weeks - assuming the meetings are going to be on?

If it wasn't for some fans insisting rider announcements are started even before the previous season ends, then I'm sure teams wouldn't be confirmed/announced until January! Otherwise there is not a lot to promote in the final weeks run up, just as Poole - and others - are finding. Suffice to know that season ticket sales are booming and once again continuing their increasing numbers.

However I just can't see anyone getting near Poole (Possibly Redcar but they look weaker with Knudsen instead of Jorgensen?). Poole's top 4 just look ridiculous and I think Hagon will do well at reserve. Don't think Tobias will be as bad as some think, but I don't think he will be spectacular either. Poole and Berwick top 2? Possibility.
Nobody is expecting 'spectacular things' from Tobias! Scoring to his average is all thats being looked at.
Jewsons make Berwick a very solid-looking septet!

Its always been 18-19 fixtures whether its Eurosport, BT Sports or Sky!!
The difference this season is the slightly earlier start (April rather than May), possibly because this summer there are the Euros and the Olympics!

If it was Mons/Weds there would be every chance of Poole running at Prem level again!!
However, the likes of Ipswich and Sheffield could be an issue.

Loads of great pics on the Gladiators facebook page showing progress with all the track work. Lights are back up, airfence up and tested, etc etc

Despite the earlier rain the very strong winds have dried the track nicely. It just depends now on how much more overnight stuff falls.
