AMSA Andy Meredith Speedway Academy BUXTON. Set in the most picturesque scenery in the country. Dates Saturday 16th November Sunday 1st December EXTRA DATE SCUNTHORPE SATURDAY 23RD NOVEMBER. Riders are limited to 15 to allow for tuition and plenty of track time. 1:1 tuition and track advice for beginners to more experienced men and women by former ex Coventry and Oxford speedway riders Andy Meredith and Ian Batley Full use of the main track On track time is 11am until 3pm. Assistance and advice with set ups and any problems 2 x 500cc bikes and smaller bikes available for hire at an extra cost. £45 if you have your own bike, £80 to hire a bike below 500cc and £110 to hire a 500cc. If you hire a bike all the kit is free. The hire of a 500cc bike is dependent on experience. We may assess on a smaller bike first to ensure competence.

A big thank you to everyone that took part in "Beat the Starter" yesterday. Chris Simpson got the fastest time of the day with a time of 1523 but kindly donated the prize back. So the winner on the day was David Alexander with a time of 1543. He wins a day at the Andy Meredith Speedway Academy. We raised £76 on the day. David has now donated £24 to round off the amount to £100! Thank you David!!

Gutted that I am going to miss this as I was really looking forward to it but I have promised to help at The Buxton 20th Anniversary Airfence Challenge Meeting. I hope all goes well and that you all have a great afternoon

The 29th is the same day as the Buxton 20th Anniversary Airfence Challenge meeting, Some of the Sheffield supporters are also regular Buxton supporters. A difficult decision to be made for some. I regularly attend Scunthorpe, Sheffield and Buxton.

I hope this meeting will not be on 13th as I have only missed one home meeting at Scunthorpe this season and I have already bought tickets for Goodwood that weekend! Please Mr Godfrey book a different Friday!

The Andy Meredith Speedway Academy provides a high level of 1:1 tuition for all ages and abilities. All sizes of bikes and kit can be provided. Groups are kept small to ensure maximum track time. We have dates at Buxton and Scunthorpe available. Our students can purchase bikes from us so we know that they are reliable. If you have any more questions please don't hesitate to ask.

The cost is £45 if you have your own bike and kit. It is £80 if you wish to hire a bike under 500cc (£45 for the day + £35 bike hire). It is £110 (£45 for the day and £65 bike hire)if you wish to hire a 500cc bike(the rider's competence will be assessed for this) All kit can be provided. To ensure fit we need sizes before the day.
