Plymouth vs Redcar 16/8/22
coypool55 replied to lisa-colette's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
No need for that. I saw your post last night and thought it wouldn’t age well not least because, citing the weather at the marina at the time, it was clear you didn’t understand the concept of a weather FOREcast. That said, in the name of cordiality I didn’t berate you as you have done to Mike. Anyway, given you do understand the concept of a weather ACTUALcast, I can confirm that it’s raining. -

The 21A Spark is the service that goes from the city centre to Plymouth road. It runs til late. I think there’s a stop near McDonalds which is 2 mins walk. https://www.plymouthbus.co.uk/services/PLYC/21A the park and ride service finishes at 1845 ish I think so that’s no good for getting back. -

Hans certainly not plodding around at Plymouth track. He’s been putting himself out there, even whilst apparently carrying an injury. -
Thanks. Twenty mins of silence but all sorted now.

you fancy elaborating on this? Apart from the bit about 'sometimes winning' which, to be fair, is true, I think I must be missing something.

not really sure what else you suggest? A forecast is a prediction. This forecast was made by one of the best paid met organisations in Europe. Are they always right? No - especially not in the southwest - but the they're probably the best we've got. I followed the forecast right up to six pm and rain was promised during the race window. Did it materialise? No, but i can't see what else the promotion could have done, especially after they got their fingers burned (albeit by the referee) earlier this year by leaving a call off until tapes up. Just my view but I think the Plymouth promotion have a fairly good record on these decisions. Cheers.
