I’ve followed Henri Ahlbom from the start of his career. I might have missed one or two practise sessions from the very start, but I was there in Hallstavik in the spring of whatevertheyearwas to see him ride and struggle with equipment (which I thought at the time was plain stupid). Winning a meeting must feel nice, I feel safe to say he’s not won anything since he was 16. Good for him!!! What ever happened in the final!?

I’ve seen local council leaders giving 10 minute speaches in +25c while riders stand in line waiting… Just stupid. But my main argument was that after the last rider exits the track after presentation, two minutes for the first heat should go on. Not towait 15 minutes for it because it says so in the SR.

A meeting starts with rider presentation at one given point in time. What U on aboit One of the easiest problems to fix in FIM track racing events is to scrap the extra 20 minute rubbishbreak for the jury president between rider presentation and heat one.

Take a minute and think about it, how sports media works? Do the athletes really need and or get money from all the pics taken and published of them? All athletes, all sports. It says in the Finnish copyright law regarding photography, that any person in a situation (sports event) where its possible/probable that his picture is taken, is a free shot. The artist/photographer owns the rights. I seriously doubt the Finnish lawmakers invented it, probably was copypasted from the international norm… If its 3rd party, they buy the rights from BSPL and thats it.

I thought this was done by a 3rd party, but if its by BSPL, they might not even have to ask. There’s every chance that all photographers have signed an agreement where they give permission for the BSPL to use their pics and also promise to provide them with some. After all, it’s ”their product”.

I think it’s in the FIM rulebook that for a single year, it’s one license. So if they already had their licenses sorted (could well be they had, practise now started), they cant change it. And reading news how Polish people are taking care of UA people, how many more tickets is ekstraliga gonna sell if they welcome the lagutas and emil on a PL license

Only two weeks until the second Euro final.

Officially announced today, no speedway SM-liiga in 2022. There might be a one-off league final, we'll see. Finnish Best Pairs on June 18th at Haapajärvi and Finnish individual final on August 20th at Kaanaa-Tampere.

Feel free to forward this to the CCp *** My suggestion is that with the money from Eurosport Events the FIM will subsidy the prize money by 50% for the next five years in these events: SGP qualis, semis and challenge (3+1 in total), U21 individual (3 qualis) and a U21 team competition. According to the FTRA 2021 the total points money for the above meetings was 82175€ a year. Instead of the organising club paying full price money, the FIM/CCP would for five years pay 50% of it. This would cost 206787,5€ in total during that time. What it would do, is lower the entry to organise these meetings, and subsequently increase the amount of potential organisers. Also it would give the clubs a better chance to make profit from organising these meetings. This could be called helping the grass roots speedway. For riders the points money would stay the same, if not get better. Hopefully there would be more qualis since it would become more attractive to organise meetings, so more riders could get enter worlds qualifiers. The amount of clubs willing to host these meetings has been in steady decline for years. Tracks hosting top level league speedway don’t want them because no one comes to see them. ****

I found an interview where Antti Aakko states his only win was in Assen 2003... Might be later? Dont have more detailed info than that ATM. Didnt Zorn and Haarahiltunen upset the status quo only a few years back? Or was it only podium finishes?

Yes, it's all your fault. Baansport also did streams for a while, or have you forgotten? ...and also i know a couple of blokes on site at Övik that should know if a stream is even possible or not.
