I cannot believe more has not been made of the very poor conditions.
Compare those images to the ones released by Leicester of their new training track and the early winter work that has obviously been going on with the main track.
Good job the season doesnt start for two months eh?

i cant imagine it made much different to attendance whatsoever.

Best bet is to do something with the fans during the interval where they could potentially win something, tickets to the next meeting or something like that.
cuts down on paying for anything else and depending on what it is, keeps the fans in the crowd entertained

do any of those things 'promote speedway'?

So a third of that is about £650 a point, let’s just say Artem scores 10 points then £6500 plus extras (flights, mechanics etc) comes to £7500 a meeting
£7500 divided by £25 entry fee = 300 people through the gate just to pay for Artem and that’s before all other costs, the other 6 riders plus stadium hire etc.
But that then got me thinking there is no entry fees when riding away so that’s another £7500 on the above assumptions so you’d need 600 people per home meeting to cover home and away costs for a number 1.
Now I have no idea how accurate the above figure is, nor am I saying anything against the riders as they have big expenses but it just made me realise how difficult it really is for these promoters.
i wouldnt believe one word that poster says to be perfectly honest with you

For what it’s worth, I would be putting Iversen at no.2 - there is every chance even away from home but especially at home, he would be popping out and winning heat 1 and gives a solid heat 8 too.Agreed, would definitely have Iversen at two

i think it all boils down to the fact that she is female, there have been plenty of all so rans over the years that take the place of a British rider and no one bats an eye

Presumably she will be number 6, so she’ll be in heat 2 against reserves, heat 7 against 3 & 4, heat 11 against 1 and 2, and heat 14 against 4 and 7.
i think she will do well to attain a four point average but considering the fellow reserves this year, I don’t think she will be too far of the pace

Who would pick Poole over Workington anyway, just one look at the tracks and it’s an obvious decision

he had a chance a few years ago, he was crap then too

hes crap, dont know why poole fans are trying to convince themselves otherwise

Then add on the fact that very few people actually like the sport anymore, which is probably the main issue.
What’s your point here?

Didn’t take long for the Poole fans to try and divert the attention away from their awful signing
