  1. Presumably these people living along A roads are annoyed about sounds from Beaumont Park drowning out the traffic noise? Maybe a couple of hundred permanent mannequins can be installed to bulk up the crowd size and improve the noise absorption, with spring loaded footings so the real spectators can punch them if the results are not good?

I think what you have in mind is Marketing and Promotion and, as others have said, that's the remit of others at the club.

Your comments are like Marmite Robt72 but on this occasion I think your personal attack on Alan Jones is completely out of order

Somebody in the Leicester management needs to sort Garrity out by giving him some good old fashioned hairdryer treatment. His eyebrows ought to be smoking tonight.

    Coventry 2017

Would it be worth Coventry forming a Championship/NL level team and stage a couple of "home fixtures" this season at Leicester? Maybe in July/August on weekends the Lions are not at home? Probably would need generosity on the part of the Beaumont Park landlord, however!
  6. Garrity and Bjerre paired together? There's plenty of potential there - including for them both going for the same piece of track at the same time. Not for the squemish, children and animals!

On a quick count, that's 7 remaining fixtures on a Saturday, and 5 non-Saturday. So it could become 6/6 or even 5/7 the way things are going. Better get used to this ratio becoming more permanent in future. I think its the only way a "Saturday" team can hope to remain in business and have a competitive side. Even so, we now have Poland acting like they want to wipe out other leagues by staging some of their fixtures on weekdays and acting like the Mafia with riders. This SGB Premiership is going to struggle to attract the main sponsor it needs the way its going. Good on Wolves for making the date change. Wonder if they'd have been as helpful if we still had the previous promotion in charge?

If the match v Wolves has to be called off as well, that's going to put a big hole into the home fixtures. Mondays is starting to look like the only viable race night for this league in terms of rider availability.

Is this the same Lasse Bjerre who rode two seasons for Leicester not so long ago but left when the club joined the EL? And who was signed by Leicester during that EL season but was dumped after one or maybe two matches? Why, yes, so it is! He may have been utterly frustrating and annoying at times, occasionally went AWOL, but could also produce rides that left you disbelieving your eyes. There was one v Newcastle with the match and playoff place on the line, a loony dive between the Newcastle pair on bend 3 in the last heat, that comes to mind! Hopefully he's matured since those days and isn't as irritating. I think it's tough on Auty but hopefully he can have a season with Scunny where his high scoring returns regularly and stays free of further injury.

Why don't you just openly set out all of what you say are "the facts" instead of sounding like some kind of Mafia thug?

Lasse had terrible injuries year before last, so in 2016 I think he was struggling for points a bit early doors and have heard said he wasn't all that happy with Redcar. So his end of year average probably reflected all that. As for having two double up riders with Sheffield, possibly that makes things simpler to plan for than one with Sheffield and one with Scun? Wouldn't worry too much re King yet, it was a last-minute signing (and right) so planning for the short term was impossible however hopefully it will be improved in longer term. Ayres - what you've said is logical but it does recall to mind the first PL seasons when the No7 became a revolving door and Leicester jettisoned young Brits on a regular basis such as Wright, Morris, Kerr, Blackbird, Sarjeant, Branford.I think the track proved too hard for them to master, as was probably the case with Perry and Clegg in EL.I could be getting him confused with another rider but when Kent were at BP for one of those national trophy matches, I think Ayres really struggled to get round bends 3/4 but of course he's gained far more experience since then, the tracks been altered and I could be completely wrong anyway!

Morris and Lasse are probably the best options

Not Shanes first visit. Saw him some years ago in an MDL match. Was impressed by the way he sussed out the track. No wobbles and a nice style.

Mary Berry rumoured to be lined up as replacement for Nige. She makes better cakes. I'm sure Kel will like them a lot.

Bladderash! Moving a match by a day or two is fine, happens a lot in many sports (and yes, as a Leicester Tigers season ticket holder it's unfortunately become part and parcel); rain-offs are "force majeure" and so no compo there for season ticket holders - unless it's never re-staged of course!;but moving a match by a whole week or two, or three, I think that is a very different matter.

Season ticket holders should be given a pro-rata refund for any fixture change, shouldn't be any quibbles about it. Basic customer relations stuff.
  19. King in ht 15 looks the bigger howler on the face of it. Presuming both Riss and Gomolski were available, they'd both shown themselves capable of winning races, that would have given Wolves more uncertainty. Riss possibly had a rear tyre still in very good condition, and had good motivation to make good for his previous misdemeanors. Never been impressed by Lynch. Seems one of those people who uses 50 words when just a few will do fine. Team looking good, though.

It seemed a bit odd to me that after Glyn had been re-hired, the Track Curator position on the website list of club officials kept showing TBC whilst all of the others had names added, as and when appointments were made. His name never appeared.

Weather forecast for Satday looking very iffy. If (very big IF) theres no clash with anything in Poland or anywhere else, may be worth delaying it till Sunday, much better forecast.
