Champions V Cradley Play Off 1st Leg

Nothing new about that, I remember in the 80's we had Wolve's start marshal on loan at old Perry Barr (think his name was Kev ?) and woe betide any rider who P1ssed around at the gate! unlike the current incumbent who riders take no notice of! Back in the 70's we "borrowed" Cradley's track man Ted Flannahan (sp?) who sorted out the many bumps and potholes on the new circuit. You know it's called mutal cooperation and long may it continue. Good Luck to Wolves in the play off final!

    Birmingham Brummies 2015

We don't get decent crowds at Perry Barr - that's the major problem! and if Tony Mole was a rich owner we wouldn't be in the National League! - Birmingham is NOT a rich club! - Quite the opposite in fact and it's down to the fans to support the club in the 3rd tier or Speedway in Birmingham is history!

I think - "you bubble headed boobey" is a bit harsh :P

    Birmingham Brummies 2015

8.90 it is as confirmed by Phil on the Brummies forum
  6. The curfew is 10pm but there is also a limit on heats which I think is 21? so double headers are out under the present conditions. Maybe the council could exercise some flexibility (and common sense) but don't hold your breath
  7. There wouldn't have been enough wednesdays to accommodate both Birmingham and Cradley if The Heathens went PL nothing to do with "Terms" set by Mole or anyone else! Planning conditions are quite strict at PB and that means only one speedway meeting per week.
  8. As you say it's all about taste - you can't beat a day (or more) at the Test - picnic box full of goodies hopefully some nice weather, carnival atmosphere it's great, certainly not boring but it doesn't appeal to everyone and yes 75 quid is a lot but I was paying 20 quid per day back in the 80's so perhaps with inflation added it's about right.
  9. Indeed, Jack isn't to blame for anything as you say - perhaps I should have worded my post "ask yourself these questions" - instead of "answer these questions" it seems the only bloke who Phillips looked after was Jack which perhaps explains his loyalty?
  10. Good 'innit - I'd have swiped the tea bags as well!
  11. Jack, your loyalty to your former employer is admirable and I respect you for that and your time serving The Brummies, but to be fair you joined RMS BRUMMIES after the ship hit the iceberg and started to take on water. Please answer these questions - 1: why did Phil Morris resign? 2: why did Joe Mac resign? 3: why did Doyle say "anyone but Birmingham" 4: why were you appointed team manager when nobody in the Elite League or Premier League would touch the club with a bargepole? (no offence intended) 5: why did Tony Mole and Phil Morris run a mile after trying their best to save the club? and the most shameful IMO - why are a registered charity - The Saint Johns Ambulance owed 2.5K ? (according to the administrators) I don't blame Drury for taking the Kettle!

    Back To Basics

Nothing complicated about Cricket - You have two sides, one out in the field and one in. Each man that's in the side that's in goes out, and when he's out he comes in and the next man goes in until he's out. When they are all out, the side that's out comes in and the side thats been in goes out and tries to get those coming in, out. Sometimes you get men still in and not out. When a man goes out to go in, the men who are out try to get him out, and when he is out he goes in and the next man in goes out and goes in. There are two men called umpires who stay all out all the time and they decide when the men who are in are out. When both sides have been in and all the men have out, and both sides have been out twice after all the men have been in, including those who are not out, that is the end of the game! See - Simples!!

    Phillips Ex Brum

Looks like Charlie Boy has been busy writing out apologies to dissatisfied punters who wont be returning - no change there then!
