    Belle Vue 2017

So you agree "Fred" should going on about lost revenue for clubs without substance or fact to back it up..that's good...
  3. Craig Cook is a bit of a scourge on British Speedway in all honesty, a bit like Woffinden the “track is crap” line is pulled out a bit too often IMO. It is odd for Cook in particular to say “trick track” given his form around Wolves and the similarity to Armadale, found it a really weird comment.
  4. Did think Wolves would give Belle Vue a bit of a doing, I can see them doing the same second leg to be honest – they just have a team now that is a lot better than Belle Vue, that and Belle Vue have just went off the boil slightly at the back end of the season, Steve Worrall in particular has been missing a beat for a month or so now.

The Pzms New Two Team Rule.

I used two out of eight working from the basis of loyalty and reputation - I wouldn’t claim to know the ins and outs re the rest or all clubs in Poland (or the UK for that matter so possibly there are more examples that could be used), purely going off rumour and on occasion spoken word from riders That and both clubs (Wolves and Poole) hold or have held 6 out of the 16 riders this would impact, so you are talking the best part of 50% , an addition then being the likes of Harris isn’t a “regular” in Poland. The same things go on in both countries though I assume re pay, doesn’t simply have to be used a downer re British Speedway – throw in the fact that Britain typically affords guaranteed meetings rather than squads I can see why this is going to cause issues.

The Pzms New Two Team Rule.

There isn’t much point trying to be a clever arse about it given it evidently applies in certain instances – the likes of Poole and Wolves are clearly well run clubs who have created a bond and loyalty between them and the riders who appear for them.

The Pzms New Two Team Rule.

The water has been defrosting for a while but that feels like a step on the river that will crack the ice per se. I don’t think it will go down well with a lot of riders, the last thing a club wants to do is interfere with their wage packets. While I understand this won’t apply in every instance and is based on hearsay and rumour – I think a few who race in Britain probably like the assurance of a guaranteed income which may not compare to Poland, but can be relied upon – with the somewhat chequered history of some Polish sides and their pay history it might put some in quite an awkward situation. Interesting times.

    Kyle Newman. Take A Bow.

I appreciate the chicken/egg scenario to this post, but…. If it wasn’t for the FTR system I doubt Kyle Newman would be as good as he is now. There are riders who will always find their way purely based on talent (Lambert) albeit their careers being guided in the right direct helps. It is though the likes of Newman, Starke and a few others that this system has genuinely helped. For all the faults re the structure of heat formatting etc and the supposed cost cutting nature of the system - there are benefits to it, there was too much a rush to see it removed and it was always going to take time. If a rider like Newman (as an example) had to be afforded 2/3/4 years at "reserve" to enable to him reach the level of performance where he could pass the World Champion on his own track…good…great…more, more, more…keep doing it, keep helping British riders, keep improving the churn of British riders. Personally I think given the shambolic nature of the race format in the EL that far too much is read into riders (in particularly British) on the basis of the number on their back rather than what they are doing on track and who they are beating, Newman as an example has beaten a lot of good riders and turned in a lot of good rides this season…he would have done that with 6/4/2/1/3 whatever number you wish to pick, once a race starts it means nothing. It needs reworked over the winter, but the foot on the ladder/how to climb the ladder nature of the system should remain.
  9. I think Wolves will win it with a bit to spare.

    Did It Backfire

Possibly. There is also the real probability that the injuries/withdrawals of Andersen/Pedersen and Lindback seriously dented the Poole side given the previous of all 3 around Wolves (all typically perform better there than their replacements/guests/RR) All of that, and there is of course the other thing, Wolves have a pretty good side. For all the talk of Poole cynically dragging the sport down, there are a few on here who are just as, if it not more guilty of it/cynical than anything than Poole supposedly get up to…
  11. He was not, he vissibly dropped the bike.
  12. That's disgraceful - superb lay down from Ellis.
