All season Steve ?

9 hours ago, szkocjasid said:Totally agree with you, don't see it as a clever move signing up Freeman. Showed promise with Armadale, but has gone backwards in a weaker NL this year with Belle Vue!
Agree with your statement but the lad is struggling with backroom staff at the moment !! It's hard to get a decent spanner man/women these days to help out at all the meetings as people who work full time find it hard to get the time off to help him out... Hopefully next season his now new parent club Redcar will be able to help out & give him more track time which is needed & then his true potential will start to shine

Yeah I had them as dark horses for the league

So you must not be a fan of young Archie I'm guessing ? Do you sell a favour give the kid a chance & if your going to criticize make it constructive !!

Does that include club volunteers aswell !! But still fell short of the 500 lol

1 hour ago, Sings4Speedway said:Buxtons major problem (apart from Pipe) was that it refused to accept it was any different to other clubs and refused to approach things in a different way. If they had been forever open that the track isnt the greatest, we don't pay much but we are loyal to our riders it would have gone a huge way. Instead they were generally belligerent and chopped riders in and out the sides constantly. A weekend track with training and second half options could have churned out riders year after year but instead "we know best" closed a venue that was potentially ahead of its time.
So your not a fan of Jason pipe then

Totally different people who now run it

7 hours ago, Skodaman said:Why not ask some local coach firms.
Can't beat the prices I had set for the season but unfortunately when I advertised on the forum for fans who haven't got FB etc I was informed that the NSSC didn't want to advertise this way & I was asked to take my post down which I did so that was gone along with my prices ( the help was there!! But now it's gone )

2 hours ago, StevePark said:Genuine question (as I don't know), would the money have been there to do all that? Unless there was a massive intake of cash, I just couldn't see that happening.
Like I said Steve ( the offer of help was there in more ways than one) but it was declined & now look how it's turned out !! Maybe he could have missed the 22/23 seasons out & came back in 24 but that's running a big risk on getting fans back unless it's promoted massively on local TV & RADIO aswell as social media & as THJ said a lot of good will from volunteers helping out goes a long way

1 hour ago, scampispeedway said:bringbackhalifax, what I wrote was very true as he and he alone decided to run another season and paid the
price for that decision, I would not have blamed him one bit if Newcastle closed at the end of last year.
Instead of panicking ( allegedly) he should have closed it last season & accepted the help which was on offer & moved on to a newer venue & reopened in 2023 with much better team etc & all money took from the turnstiles would have been the club's & not a mega payout for the stadium rent

Well we can dream but that's all it is for the diamonds future A Dream

37 minutes ago, Derwent said:Someone should ask Semore Kurdi if he’s interested. Already owns 2 sports clubs in Newcastle Falcons RU and Newcastle Thunder RL. Owns Kingston Park stadium and 37 acres of land surrounding it so plenty of space for a speedway track.
The land around Kingston park is being developed into housing estates

Seemed a bit strange or maybe hollow reading the speedway star today & nowt in it from Newcastle. Sad times

3 hours ago, HectorRacing said:These companies making stadium rent expensive? Eventually they will probably shut them down as the dogs cant bring in alot? (I may be wrong) then sell the land for houses/etc.
It is earmarked for that but when the owners of the stadium site are already minted they can wait for the price they want for it
