Think Ablitt decides where he rides rather than the club. Sadly with the financial losses Kent are in the situation of go and lose money so likely a cheaper guest than Ablitt would be a benefit.

Richie Worrall statement

Does the 2 year suspension just apply to first offences? If Boxall has failed to provide a negative specimen for a second time is there a possibility he will face a lengthier ban? -

Don't forget limited interest in NL at Berwick, will Edinburgh have a track? Leicester up for sale so will the new owners want the cubs? Supporters will dig deep now and again for favourite riders and clubs but they won't keep doing it. Im very fearful there will be no NDL next year or a very depleted one.

Workington Comets v Belle Vue Colts 26/08/23 3pm NDL
Sings4Speedway replied to topaz325's topic in National League Speedway
Wow you know your a poor side when Belle Vue win away!. How had Harry kept his place all season? Hope he isn't planning on attending the end of season party. Crang has been on the slide for a while but setting a terrible example. Great to have the Comets back but after so many predicted so much it looks like a very lowly finishing position. As for the Colts a play off fairy tale is still on..... -

Agreed home win ( decent guest in Hook) but aggregate point definitely at risk..... -
I believe he and Nick got on reasonably well at a racing level and the advice / setup info that was being passed on previously probably isn't now. Don't think Alfie has ever lacked ability on a bike just sometimes falls short on the setup side (still 100 times better than Bomber though)

Very easy to get angry at riders but ultimately it is Tolley who is tracking them in the first place, yes he trusted team building to a delusional wally but still had ultimate sign off. As covered Sedgy did ok, hard to be hard on Hagon and Bowtell's form has been badly affected by Morris leaving. Starke and Nielsen shouldn't be anywhere near the league currently (both good servants but time has caught up with both) and Batch is Batch, its hardly a shock that he is woefully inconsistent in both scores and attitude. Great that Tolley has the passion, just hope he has the brain to go with it next season.

Who gets priority on the 8th Sept fixture clash? Oxford at Glasgow whilst Leicester Cubs are at Belle Vue. Big fixtures for both teams......

Oxford safe as houses. IF Leicester only manage a home win against Worky (lose to Oxford at home & Belle Vue away) they will have 21/22 points. IF Mildy win at home to Worky & away at Edinburgh plus take the aggregate points the will have 22 points IF Belle Vue win 2 home and 2 away (lol) plus two aggregate points they will have 24 points Means potentially the tba Leicester vs Mildenhall fixture would be huge with any of the 3 teams able to qualify and potential to go down to leg difference....... -

Ultimately Belle Vue must win all thier fixtures and take the aggregate points to stand an outside chance of making the play offs....which includes winning away -
and yet you have just supplied one

Im sure Mason was heartbroken he could add Oxford to Kent & Leicester on his list of tracks avoided this year.

Perhaps Jack turned around and said i want all the meetings not just the scraps? Even though he is woefully out of form im surprised Sam Woolley didn't get the call up over Shimelt. -

Meeting swings on which guest is booked/available for Belle Vue , if Harry could find some Belle Vue form an away win is on..... -
I guess at least when they meet there will be a winner.......whats the odds on 6 draws?

25.08.2023 Scunny v Glasgow League
Sings4Speedway replied to ScunnyDan's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Brand new engine or new engine to Lee? Genuine question as whilst neither come with any warranty id imagine a few questions will be being asked about quality and maintenance -
Certainly hard not to question certain riders commitments to the team. If you take a NL place then away trips south are part of it and the fact that riders can get away with not travelling for dubious reasons is insulting to those who are committed and are more deserving of the team spot.
-
Captain that doesn't travel south...
-
NL average is a dubious comparison considering Killeen has only completed 1 meeting all season and at reserve vs Boughen's 9 all in the 1-5 (and Boughen beat Killeen at Oxford twice in that sole meeting) . Certainly be interesting next season if both are included as some egos could take a bit of a battering.

Edinburgh Vs Poole 4th August
Sings4Speedway replied to lisa-colette's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
But surely the point is that there should be rules in place to prevent such things before they happen? Jobs for the boys have always existed along with family ties, Heeps and Etheridge are examples of that, Simon Lambert would openly joke that he got extra time at Peterborough due to sponsor connections but where does it end? There are NL riders who have got chances longer than most because their family are club sponsors. Even in development leagues riders have been lapped, surely that level of disparity between competitors is plain dangerous. Not much can be done about existing riders but perhaps those coming through should have to adhere to certain standards? Only recently a non NL standard second halfer took 3 programmed rides in a CL match, on this occasion there were no issues but say they were off gate one, made the start and failed to turn taking all four riders into the fence....there would be uproar and something would be done after the event......once its too late. -
Are you talking riders or spectators?
-
Probably get a reduction like Boxall for time away
-
Does it? Didn't see Rowe or Edwards beating a path to be in the British champs either or stand there as track reserves. When was Bailey asked? If it was on the initial list due to be ing U21 champ then he should have taken his place, if it was after other first choices had turned it down then he has every right to tell them to poke it. Same goes for SGP2, if he felt he wasn't ready or financially not set he has every right not to take up the option, just goes to show the nonsense that Vatcher pours into British speedway every year.
