Kings Lynn V Leicester Wednesday 16th July

Kings Lynn -12.5 at Bwin for me. 1.85

Wolverhampton V Coventry Monday 7th July

I've taken Wolverhampton -2.5 with Bwin.

Lakeside V Wolverhampton Friday 4th July

My figures don't pick up on track preferences. If i was confident that I would always be able to get a decent bet on speedway i could put the time in and build track style into the model, but a lot of work for a sport the bookies don't like to take a decent bet on.

I'm on Swindon +4 with Bet365 at 1.95. I think the handicap for the Wolverhampton game is more or less correct.
  5. Which bookmakers would you recommend specifically for speedway betting. Bet365 are the obvious ones. l also notice Betfred no longer offer Speedway.

Swindon V Kings Lynn 3rd July

I didn't have a bet in the end up, I had Swindon -1, the bookies had them -2 not enough of a margin for error to bother.
  7. On my figures assuming two typical line ups this one looks a pretty even match up with Swindon coming out by a single point. I will wait for the bookmaker's handicaps before deciding whether to bet. What are the two teams looking like?

    Swedish Speedway 1st July

I'm sorry my posts aren't appearing until after the meeting has started, at the moment i'm still being moderated. How many points did Larsen gain?

    Swedish Speedway 1st July

My Swedish figures are still bedding in, but i've gone with two today Rospiggarna -2 and Piraterna -6.
  10. I'm quite new to speedway, my interest in it is from a betting angle, though I have been to watch Halifax in the days of Eric Boocock. I produce figures that assess each rider at Grand Prix meetings and that assess each team at Elite League and the Polish and Swedish equivalent. Firstly with regards the title of this post, what do i need to know about track types and riders, if it can be summarised, don't go to great detail unless you'd like to. Secondly I realise my team ratings could be improved if I rated all of the riders who race in the elite league and based my assessment of a league meeting on that but it involves quite a lot of work, do any of the leagues have quite settled teams, as I understand it the Elite league teams are all over the place. Finally is there anywhere stats can be assessed for riders on a heat by heat basis, or is it a case of pulling them out of results sheets. If anyone keeps stats in Excel and can point me in the right direction I'd appreciate it. Personally I think the bookies are weak on speedway and if I was to put the work in profits would follow.
  11. Oh dear my figures say Eastbourne by 8. I only need to be on the rightside of the handicap and the bookies.

I don't really have a tip for the overall winner of the Danish GP, I'd take Greg Hancock to be top point scorer after the heats. I'm looking at Heat 9 and Martin Smolinski at 7.0 / 6/1 looks a big price, Kasprzak looks the likeliest winner but 7.0 for MS looks very tempting. Any thoughts?

I just thought I'd say hello, and as the board looks so free of clutter i thought i'd keep it to an existing thread. Hopefully I can make a fruitful contribution to this particular section. I know very little about speedway but do know a bit about betting, I use a mathematical formula to identify my speedway bets and it does okay. I produce figures for top league Polish, Swedish and GB speedway and GP speedway as well.
