Torun GP tickets valid ??
teaboy279 replied to THE DEAN MACHINE's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
I believe there was far less then the 7000 people allowed I sold for the Saturday. If my Polish mate is to be believed they have only sold about 1200 tickets for the Friday. -
Torun GP tickets valid ??
teaboy279 replied to THE DEAN MACHINE's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Original bought tickets for the sat gp (the date is the original) are valid for the sat night. If you want to do both GPS then you need to buy an additional ticket for that event. -

World U 21 team championship ( DMSJ) 2020 Final Outrup Denmark Saturday September 5th
teaboy279 replied to racers and royals's topic in International World of Speedway
I think he covered this on the speedway tavern, that the journey (without delays) was not possible. I doubt very much he is earning anything out there as well. Whilst pay per point will be higher, he and his mechanic (his dad) have had to move to a country they don't speak the language and start from scratch. And I bet whilst they are having to fund this investment in Anders long term career, the bills back home in the UK haven't stopped. In his kent days I spent a lot of time watching Anders and Del, and there isn't many harder working duos out there. And the GB recognition meant so much to anders and his family. So I bet he was as gutted or disappointed as anyone else that he could nt ride. I may be biased but I feel what Anders has done is what many young brits have needed to do in the past. I cant help think that so many aussies are ahead of our brits because they have to leave home and then its very much sink or swim. OK the distance is not so great but the jump Anders has made in many ways is bigger. The aussies have the instant advantage when they reach the UK that they speak the lingo. I dare say when anders arrived he didn't even know how to order dinner!. -
World U 21 team championship ( DMSJ) 2020 Final Outrup Denmark Saturday September 5th

The poles do so much racing at junior level, but i bet they would quite happily host a British under 21 touring party. Surely worth the BSPA asking the question, with so many riders sat on thier arses. -

What did grind my gears was Pearson not knowing what the show was called. He kept saying Talking Dirt Powered by Monster Energy, despite all the screens and posters saying "fueled" by Monster Energy. Tell you are getting older when such irrelevance annoys you .... lol -
I believe they announced today, they have been signed off by the council to have limited crowds at NSS, which must be a positive step towards the SON being possible.

looking at the british final how will riders be decided. Assume Scotty is a shoe in, Starkey was flying until his injury in last years meeting will he get a spot. Have the bspa released a formula to decide competitors in this unprecedented season. Will many top riders wish to ride in it with no other track time and no gp spot as a carrot?

British final 2020
teaboy279 replied to Nassa10's topic in Speedway Testimonials & Individual and Shared Events
I see this being a massive sell out personally. I ll be desperately trying to secure a ticket when they come available. Btw they have had many banger meetings recently with 2500 fans (plus 500 drivers, mechanics, marshalls, recovery drivers, medics etc) and the place has looked very well spaced out. If the same rule applies then face coverings must be warn at all times within the stadium. -
Defunct speedway tracks - and their resurrection

I think the cradley situation was a lot more sneaky. Arena Essex was at risk during the Olympic build phase to a compulsory purchase order. And I think the Woodruffe family have been quite open for a number of years that the place would not be there for ever as land prices rose. They were totally honest and open. Think Cradley had promises of replacement venue and all that guff and were sold down the river. -

A couple of viable people gave looked to restart racing (initially 4 wheels, but to inc speedway too) The land owners stance is there will never be another race of any description on that land again. -
