I think(or hope) that Leigh will give one big effort next year in the Grand Prix and if he doesn't become World Champion then he will call it a day.

Congratulations to Nicki he has been far and away the best rider this year and fully deserves the title.

If there was to be a Grand Prix in the US I think it should be at Long Beach if they can recreate the same sort of track that they had in the mid 80's

Quite a few people have been saying "on any other track Denmark would have won". Where do you think the final would of needed to be held for any of the other teams to win ? I think Poland would have won on any track in Poland. Poole would be the place to see the Aussies take gold. Peterborough or Vojens would of seen Denmark win easily. As for Great Britain..... possibly Wolverhampton???

I've been telling people at work, who don't follow speedway and think it's just first out of the gate wins, to watch the World Cup to prove that this is not the case, I'm not looking forward to going in Monday. I've now got to try and convince them that Mondays meeting will be better. Then there's the race-off and the final, i've always thought the final should be held on a different track as there will be practice wednesday, race-off thursday, practice friday and final on saturday which I think is far too much for one track to take. I would like to see the race-off being staged in Poland and the the final in the Czech Republic (for example as they are not in it).

Having read the post about New Zealand riders riding over here, and being surprised at how many there were, I wondered if there are many countries that have had just one rider ride over here? For example was Rene Aas the only Estonian to ride in the British leagues?

It was my 9th British Grand Prix(5 at Cardiff) and I thought it was the best one yet. Well done to Bomber and also well done to Greg, there aren't many riders in the GP that would of given Bomber that much room after looking over their right shoulder down the back straight(no names mentioned, but i think we know who they are)

We all know that Britain will have 2 riders in next years Grand Prix. Scott Nicholls will be one who do we think the other should be : Lee Richardson,Chris Harris,Mark Loram,Simon Stead,Chris Louis A.N.other?

So you don't think Andersen will get through then. I think, although he qualified by right, judging Jagus on tonights performance is a bit like judging Leigh Lanham just on his performances at Arena.

I see that Chris Harris equalled the Coventry track record tonight against Oxford and since the World Cup his average is up there with most of the GP riders. I think he should be given his chance next year, he can't be much worse than Richardson,Protasiewicz or Iversen. The main thing that would go against him would be the state of the tracks if Latvia last week is anything to go by.

So that is Czech's and Yanks Should be good when we try to name all Aussies and Danes

In the early eighties (82 or 83 I think) they ran a series of 3 team tournaments with 3 teams of seven I would like to see that return.

Attempted to join pcn's server but kept getting thrown out. Managed to see one race . If that is the standard i need to get to i don't think you'll be seeing me racing for a long time yet .
