  1. What I don’t understand with Mr Tolly does he realise the Birmingham have already finished top of the highest league, with a home and away meetings in the Semi Final both shown on sky, then the 2 legged final against Poole again shown on Sky, this was at the time when Sky were paying rubbish loads of money into Speedway, and yet they still lost money according to Mr Mole, So why will things change now?

  2. Who is actually selecting the Team for the coming Season? If it’s Nigel and Rogers there track record isn’t great, I really hope they get it right this time I would think one more season like the last two would be the end, With the contracts Sam has maybe hand over team selection to him.

  3. OMG absolutely the Birmingham management have forgotten what happened at Reading when he was sacked half way through the season as technical advisor!!!

why do they need a Team Manager, Assistant team manager, and a Director of Speedway (that clown Rogers)?

the only reason I can think off is they think he will bring some Wolves fans to Birmingham, and from what I’ve heard he’s not cheap,

as for the signing well I hope the remaining signings are Big hitters, when you look at the heat leaders  that there first home opponents are Sheffield,

but good luck for the coming season, I really do think you need it.

so, just who do you think i is carrying out the current rider negotiations, if it id not Rogers ? Apparent we have several riders already signed. . Hope they aren’t Rigers signings. We sacked him last year bec he was incompetent and the fans and owners had had enough of him.
he attended the AGM , still got his hands on matters he should be no where near.

If Rogers picks the team, and God forbid, is named as team manager then I will not be attend next season, after being a fan since the ‘70’s !!!!

I agree, the first announcement should have been the new team manager snd, it should have been announced ages ago. For all the good this promotion  have done, they still seem to be making the same rookie mistakes, the biggest being their dismal communication with the fans. I’ve read in the Brummies forum that apparently, Nigel has said the first two signings will be announced at the Xmas party on December the 8th. After NOTHING being announced on the club website for an eternity, keeping the fans in the dark, how stupid is it to keep the signings back so long snd keep all the fans in the dark? They should be banging out as much news snd social media stuff as possible , not treating the fans like mushrooms!!!

We desperately need a damn good team this year to attract the fans back snd  we never have had snd, never will have anything other than a CRAP team when Rogers  has picked it. Sadly, unless the promotion announce otherwise, it seems we are in for more of the same. Nigel Tolley continually promised us teams capable of challenging for honours but it seems his view of a great team, is very naive!!! Time to get someone in that CAN  and DOES  know how to put together a good team.

sadly, it seems we are in for more I the same naive management snd I fear, more hot air snd empty promises. Nigel meds to walk the walk snd that starts its communication, appointing a proper team manager, and minimising Roges’ involvement

sadly, I think I am living in dream land , am in cuckoo land. I hope Nigel proves me wrong but, I doubt it

When you think the most experienced Promoter in British Speedway is not involved for the first time for something like 40 years, He has and can again put together a successful and on a budget team, and he is speedway through and through, He lives 20 minutes from Perry Bar, Nigel PLEASE give CVS a call

  5. If the Planning Inspector refuses the appeal does this mean that Speedway will return? Is it either Housing or Speedway?  Couldn’t THE owners sell the land to someone else who could use it for other purposes, I can’t see the owners ever sell to SCS, Hope I’m wrong

  6. I see there’s a Supporter meeting next Friday when Mr Tolley and Mr Rogers and will give an update on the future of Birmingham Speedway I’m sure this will be of great importance to all fans, Unfortunately I can’t make it, Does anyone know if it’s being Streamed, I’m sure us  fans would appreciate this if at all possible

  7. Looking back at previous Press Releases from Birmingham the management were having a meeting with the Stadium owners to sort out the future of Speedway, Did this meeting take place? If it did what was the outcome? The silence as been deafening since the announcement the owners were kicking out the Speedway

What's interesting is that LR never become one of the partners / directors in the consortium that runs the club. He assembled a group of people prepared to invest their kids inheritances in the club, but financially, he's kept at arms length from either the risk or reward. It'd be cheeky beyond belief to ask for a salary when he hasn't made a financial commitment, and the people who have invested in the club probably aren't getting paid either, and stand to lose their investments if the venture goes belly-up.

But what’s the difference as the Judge had no financial interest in the club (presumably) and he was on a wage(presumably)

Who would you like to put in as manager?  L.R does not get paid. Think the only one you could get is rossco , or Lee kilbey  but don't think either one would want it. Don't forget it's got to be someone who as got a promoter's license.

No I would not, I run a successful business and I know to get the right person for the right  job you have to pay the going rate, Rogers can stay there but as a odd job man, so could keep is promoter’s license, whilst Rogers is TM I will not attend Birmingham Speedway, and I know of at least 12 other supporters are of the same opinion, So really whilst he doesn’t get paid (how do you know this) he is in fact costing the club a lot of money.Having spoken to several Edinburgh supporters they said the Track on Wednesday was perfect it’s just that the Birmingham team are rubbish, a team presumably put together by Rogers

  10. Just got back from tonight’s meeting haven’t been for quite some time, I just couldn’t believe how few fans there were there, OK 4 meetings and 4 losses doesn’t help, But from what I’ve seen tonight I really can’t see them seeing the end of the season, I hope I’m wrong, There was no atmosphere nothing, having said that it wasn’t a bad meeting to watch as a neutral, But Birmingham fans have my sympathies
