Sorry but must disagree as the lower leagues have a history of using 'experienced' riders along side young riders.Eastbourne made a habit of it for years and I think Leigh has an awful lot to offer the sport at NL level, at least David Mason is still involved as is Tony Aitkin.

Where are the 2 Brits going to come from?

From 2006 k o cup meeting verses the mighty Bulldogs - they lasted one season and lost £500k I believe.... Swindon Robins = 40 (83) 1. Lee Richardson - 3,2,1,0 = 6 2. Mads Korneliussen - 0,1*,Ef,F = 1+1 3. Renat Gufarov - 1*,0,1,0 = 2+1 4. Seb Ulamek - 2,3,3,2,3 = 13 5. Leigh Adams - 2,3,3,1,2* = 11+1 6. Ritchie Hawkins - 1,0,0 = 1 7. Seb Alden - 3,0,2,1,0 = 6 Reading Bulldogs = 50 (97) 1. Greg Hancock - 2,2,2,3 = 9 2. Andy Smith - 1*,1*,1,1* = 4+3 3. Travis McGowan - 0,2,2*,3,F = 7+1 4. Matej Zagar - 3,1*,3,1 = 8+1 5. Charlie Gjedde - 1,3,2,2*,1 = 9+1 6. Sam Simota - 0,Ex,0 = 0 7. Janusz Kolodziej - 2,3,3,2*,3 = 13+1

So come on then all you Elmoaners how would run the sport given that we have had a dwindling rider base in the UK and have needed to import expensive overseas riders for far too long?
-
Better a weaker league than no league at all and our best chance for the future is better opportunities for young riders as they are still very few and far currently.

I watched Neathy week in week out at Rye and on that sized track he was superb but the frustration was always his away performances and often criticism he got when he had a poor score away. He was a dedicated clubman and loyal servant to Rye House and was an enourmous loss to the club when he got injured.
-
Before he got injured though.
-
Clegg needs to move to a bigger Championship track - length wise - to improve his riding as he could become a Chris Neath type of rider who struggled on anything larger than 300 metres.
-
Saw him race at Rye and was impressed with his speed and style we have got to give these guys a chance.
-
Why bring back a mediocre yank when riders are still available admittedly not geographically in your region though.
-
As with most riders at his level good equipment will have a big bearing on how competitive he is. I see him as a Chris Harris type of rider - not afraid to get stuck in. I think Rye's season could be defined by how Davey Watt returns to full time racing as a Davey from a few seasons ago will be very good.
-
If we lost the Star it would be the demise of Speedway in the UK so buy it while we have it.
-
At least Len Silver can take some credit as his record of promoting British riders is unequalled in Speedway.
-
Don't forget Jason will be coming back after a bad injury and it could affect his season initially
-
If that was 10 years ago then they (BSPA) might be a bit more receptive now.
-
Typifies what the NL is all about as a rider holding down a full time job.
-
Isn't the loss of Poole's main sponsor going to cause issues with rider affordability?
-
GM see this as potentially challenging their monopoly and make changes to their engines thus matching the performance and servicing of the GTR engine.
-
It might be something else Ben .......like money
-
Y I think you are trying to get some more abuse from this forum ................
-
Every other club does that it's just some people who have a longer term view see this sport having problems and want to do something for its future - not just win trophys. Anyway I can't see Holder riding in the UK this season.
-
Ok name one initiative the Ford has ever instigated to improve the fortunes British Speedway?
-
Why are the Germans knackered not enough brutwurst? Lots of other jokes available but politically incorrect in today's world.....
