What really got me was that he went really well for Wolverhampton at the Showground so one would've thought his kit was ok, then he was just rubbish for the Panthers.. The management knew what they were getting because he was pretty ordinary in 2018. His signing was an act of desperation pure and simple, if they sign him again it will be just the same. I hope the new team manager will find somebody else with over 6 to play with. Pickering instead of Oystercard yes, not to replace BWD. On a separate note where would we be without all the Aussies in the league.. No Poles and just 1 Swede.

Probably every time he's ridden at The Showground and he does have his moments but he's not the same rider as he is at Scunthorpe and I'm afraid in this case I agree with stevebrum.

If you've read my other posts you'd know who I'd like in the side.. and he didn't pull up any trees at Poole, but at the Showground.. My point is that we should be trying to get a potential heat leader rather than Nicholls, who was just rubbish for the Panthers last year. Josh Auty? really.. Don't we have 6.2sh to play with, and what's being British got to do with anything. I want to cheer on riders who really try, not ones that give up after 2 laps. Krzysztof never ever gave up. Which is why I wouldn't criticise Oystercard either, even though others on here seem to dislike him as much as I dislike Nicholls. I'm also too fat to wear cool shirts or marry devastatingly beautiful women..

Don't think I've ever seen Beck ride, but surely is average suggests he would be a good bet... Can't believe people want Nicholls, must have been watching something different to me last year! Quite like the idea of Richie Worrell, great out of the gate. But another potential heat leader and a good reserve.. No brainer. So sorry for Brad

Blimey talk about glass half empty... look around Sheffield's a good side, seeing Pedersen again, Belle Vue look really strong, then there's Swindon with 4 heat leaders.. Panthers look competitive at least, the icing is seeing Crumpy again, and the Witches always good well at the Showground. We're going to have a good year.

Didn't you say that Panthers wouldn't have a No 1? Little Denmark again... NKI and Hans riding together, surely if Hans gets some mojo back we could be in for exciting times. I think Ricky Wells at reserve at home would be good. Getting quite excited.

They should at least get him and Norbi back for the first meeting.. I know Norbi wasn't always the nuts, but remember back to that post season meeting when the weather was iffy... They both really put it on the line for the Panthers that night. Then there was the tweet from Krzysztof during the winter of discontent... a picture of our track and the simple inscription read 'love this place'.

I know I'm going to miss 4 or 5 meetings this year dew to work commitments, but if they signed Krzysztof I'd be buying a season ticket anyway. Can't see it though...

It went to the dogs a few days ago when the Poole and Belle Vue chaps had a set to... As regards the Hans thing.. The problem is that some of us watch the riders every week and others don't. As I said yesterday Hans missed the gate alot but was generally pretty fast, Mr Crump who also also sits in the stands every week argued that the Hans of 2006 would blast through the field if he missed the gate. Nobody was able to do that last year... only maybe Tungate on the odd occasion. Mark seems to know whats what, knowing that last year was Han's worst possibly ever but only one year previous at Leicester he was really good and the year before that at Poole was one of his best ever. So for our friend Mr Stanton to say what he did yesterday invited some criticism. foreverblue probably watched Hans score heavily every week in 2017 so is going to be a big Hans fan too. Not gone to the dogs, but if you are unfairly criticise a Peterborough rider on the Peterborough thread then expect a retort.

Who did he ride for in 2017... that was a good year was it not! Lets hope he gets his gating gloves back on! You knew what his averages were before asked the question didn't you... Ahh its good to wind up these Ipswich people eh, only trouble is, they'll get their own back during the season when they turn up with those two blooming Aussies and cause mayhem.

I like Ricky Wells too.. Maybe three years ago I thought he was one of the best visiting riders we saw that year. I know it was championship stuff but that did include riders like Charlie and Adam Ellis. There was one race with Cookie that was reminiscent of watching Krzysztof, ahh those were the days. JUST BECAUSE ITS FAST DON'T MAKE IT GOOD.

Another comment who didn't watch speedway at the showground each week last year. As I've said repeatedly when anybody missed the gate they weren't overtake. Invariably when Hans was behind he was nearly always right there trying, as a result would get my vote. Others like Nichols for example would end up being miles behind...

Blimey can't we get rid of this Poole rubbish... Go away and leave us, we have enough on our plate. Brady Kurtz riding for Belle Vue is of very little interest here.

As I've said many times, nowhere near as good as it was before Buster. Its gate and go with no outside line... track records yes, overtaking no.

This is a bit offensive chap. Carl is generally a nice chap in my experience and is trying to do the best for the club. As I've said before, I don't understand why the owner bought the club and is not appearing to give it any chance of success. These rumoured teams are at best only marginally better than last year. We only had 1 comfortable win at home last year, most people who sit near me in the stands won't pay to watch the side loose week after week.... me included.

After the last two seasons I can't believe they would have Nicholls in the side!... Totally agree with you Crump99, don't always but on this occasion... its a disaster waiting to happen. Don't know about Bech but the rest of them can't gate for toffee.

Yes agree with you... He wasn't No1 material last year.. early on I thought he might be, the pass he made on Rory Schlein was really good but the the lack of passing and his lack of gating to often left him at the back and his average just proves my point. That match against Wolverhampton was the one where Nichols scored loads. It seemed to me that he had more wins that one night when he rode against us were more than he scored for us the for rest of the season!

I don't think that Rockstar99 has ever seen any speedway at the showground...either that or he's a spokesperson for the promotion!

We're just going to have to disagree, I can only comment on what I've seen at Peterborough and on the Telly... B Kurtz, Killer, Wright and Bewley.. 4 heat leaders the worst being Wright! Sheffield, Pedersen, Holder, Josh G backed by Howarth and Lawson... up against Tungate MPT Harris Hans and Bech... at the Showground. Tungate would at least compete if he gates, can't comment about Bech but the others need to be able to come from behind.... which as I've said doesn't happen anymore. Then theres Swindon with 3 different class heat leaders.. Ipswich will come with Heeps, Allen, King and whoever. Last season the wins we did see were really close affairs, I can't see this team getting close at all. Come June I won't be the only one not going anymore, and I've probably missed 5 home meetings in the last 10years. Yesterday I was angry, today just depressed.

Utter codswallop.. that team will be the finish of The Panthers. After three early season home defeats there won't be anybody paying to watch. Have another look at Sheffield, Belle Vue and Swindon sides chap. Why do the management persist with the notion that just because the track is fast its good. A few years ago Peter Karlsson said The Showground was one of, if not the best track in the world. It seemed to me that if you got out of the gate last year you won, with a few exceptions. Buster can do it, the track he did for the World Team Cup that year was really really good... has anybody kept the program because I'm sure the times weren't that fast. Whilst I'm moaning... who's in charge of the marketing? On the day its announced that last year's best rider has signed for Belle Vue we announce MPT! Who thought that was going to encourage some decent sponsorship or help sell some season tickets? Although has season ticket pricing been advertised? People like to buy each other presents this time of year don't they? What confuses me is, if you're going to spend all that money on buying the club and then why not invest in riders to make it a success? The business model is bound to fail.
